Located behind the Pefanis Travel Shop on the airport end of Lassi Main
Road... very convenient for the Lassi Supermarket and Minas. (but still a bit of
a walk to the main tavernas...)
Good sized rooms - kitchen/living area huge (we had no 7 - a 2 bed) but no
real cupboard space.
Communal terrace area was ok - but was fairly rough concrete so toddlers
need watching. You share a terrace with next door - it is shady in the morning
and blistering in the afternoon.
Zorbas (next door) is a pain after the first couple of Greek nights - very loud
and the music - although merry - becomes very boiring after 2 weeks!! It
usually stops around 11.30pm after the cheesy disco bit (Locomotion,
Macarena, YMCA etc - why bother!?!?!)
Be warned that a cleaner does her bit in the offices above the 2 bed
appartments with her kids in tow... Moving furniture, banging chairs and
sluicing the balcony while her kids stomp up and down the metal fire escape
isn't exactly brilliant at midnight (3 nights a week!!)
All in all, liked the location and 'lived' with the noise ok - don't be off put - just
be prepared!
Oh, the pillows are lousy but there is FREE Air Conditioning in the rooms!!
Jill, the Thomson rep is very attentive and takes time to find out how everyone
is getting on.
Any info on the latest Taxi rate from Kefalonia Airport to central Lassi with baggage...? Thanks Kieran Also, any more info on the White House Appts and Yellow House Studio would be great. Ta!!
Clean simple studios in a good location close to the beach and main road. This small block of six studios and two apartments are well maintained and were serviced more often than the brochure indicated - a definite plus. There is only one thing we would recommend and that is take a large towel with you as only hand towels are provided. It was a bonus to have a kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, all items not usually provided in self catering accommodation.
Very good location for shops and restaurants. Nearest beach is the best (Makris Gialos) only 5 mins away. Very clean as the maids come every day except Sundays. Now has a/c but you pay extra for that - we didn't need it as it was October. Can get a bit noisy at night as Zorba's is next door and seems to have a greek/disco night every other night.
