Returned from the Med in Aug 13. Loved it and re-booked for 2014. One tip, don't forget your trousers for the evening meal...... Loved it!
Recently had a great holiday here, hotel always clean, chambermaids certainly kept the room clean every day, food was superb and the staff were very friendly, bar in the hotel was also very good with a great service. Location of the hotel was absolutely great, on top of the beach and great bars. Would definately stay here again, a superb hotel.
Well, just back after 2 weeks, as predicted everthing just average but still love the place.
Do people ever read these pages?
Just back from the med hotel in lassi , we stayed for a week. as usual the hotel is superb from the view from the rear of the hotel to the freindly staff, fantastic food with great choice and the spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. the only fault you could say is the lack of entertainment at the hotel, Makis and his band play once a week but there is nothing else. they could have some greek dancing once a week or a barbeque still a superb hotel with own beach yamass.
YASSOUS, MY WIFE AND I HAD A 2WEEK BREAK AT THE MED HOTEL IN MAY AND SOME REPORTS SAY THE HOTEL IS DATED, THE FOOD IS POOR. DO NOT BE PUT OFF. WE FOUND THE FOOD VERY GOOD, EXCELLENT VARIATIONS. YES THE STANDARD ROOM IS BASIC BUT IT IS OF A GOOD SIZE AND IS KEPT IMACUATELY CLEAN. THE HOTEL ITSELF IS ONA BEACH FRONT LOCATION WHICH HAS A VIEW TO DIE FOR.THE STAFF ARE SO FREINDLY AND HELPFUL AND COULD,NT DO ENOUGH FOR US. WE ARE GOING BACK FOR A WEEK MAY 2009 AS WE GOT A GOOD DEAL ON PORTLAND HOLIDAYS, I COULD,NT RESIST.
YAMASS.
My wife and I have been going to Kefalonia for the last 20 years for the last 7 we have stayed at the Med. It is dated and as someone once said looks like a 1960's secondary modern school. But if anywhere else can match the welcome when you return (welcome back Mr& Mrs Jennings) I doubt very much. The staff are always the same although George at the pool has gone fishing! The views fantastic the food good what else could anyone want, maybe we might just spend our retirement there thats how much the island means to us, Friendly people and a life out of the fast lane thank you all for the the last 20 years Roger and Val.
A Superb Hotel, friendly staff, very clean and great food.
I have stayed at this hotel 10 times since the age of 11. At 24 now, I cannot wait to return. The location is fabulous, the staff genuine and the food exceptional.
This isn't a 4 star hotel, as some might suggest, but it's a perfectly respectable 3 star. It's clean, has friendly staff, the plumbing works, and the public areas are well presented.
Have just got home after two weeks at the hotel, great time and staff are brill,if you are into your food its a paradise my only moan was i booked three rooms and was not able to get one with a sea view but maybe the next time .
Just returned from the most fantastic holiday my wife and I have had anywhere...and at 54 & 60 we've been around! The location couldn't be better, beside a white soft sandy beech with adjacent restaurant where, if you're half board, you can substitute lunch for the evening meal...a sacrifice too far! The evening restaurant meals are sensational, both in variety and quality of preparation.Panos, the Maitre D, employs naturally pleasant and cheerful, friendly staff who take a genuine delight in looking after you. The bar staff, particularly Sofia, are sincerely friendly. Everyone we talked with are going back! Some people there were on their 25th year...says it all really.Do yourself a big favour...try it!
Does anyone know if this hotel has been modernised again since 2003.. it has really good reviews but the fact it may be dated has made me doubt whether I should book to go. I'm trying to decide between this hotel and Porto Scala Village in Scala. What do people think ? We just want to be near the beach and have nice food and clean and tidy accommodation and we don't want it to be noisy!
i have just returned from a fantastic honeymoon in Keflonia, i would recommend the Mediteranne Hotel! - the beach is so near it is great, if you have any questions about Kefalonia or the Mediteranne Hotel don't hesitate to email me! - by the way don't hire a car from the holiday reps - shop around!, but do hire a car!
Dear friends at the Mediterranne Lassi
It is the forth time that we have visited Kefalonia but we think it is a beautiful Island and have booked again for 2005.
As of previous visits we had a fabulous time and would like to thank
all the staff at the Hotel for excellent service throughout our holiday, with special thanks to Panos,Miss Sofia, the reception staff
and the beach personel not forgetting Stelios our friend in the evening.
See you all next year June 26th/10thJuly.
Regards
Douglas & Brenda Arnold
We have just returned from a week break here and it was wonderful. The food was very plentiful and varied and the staff were very polite. The hotel itself was very clean although it could do with some modernising. It is an ideal place to stay if you want to relax because there is no noisy entertainment at night yet the bar stays open til late if you want a drink.GREAT especially if you want to get away from all the hussle and bussle of life. Very relaxing and i would definately stay here again.
It was our first visit to kefalonia but it won't be the last! An excellent hotel, first class food and the staff were brilliant! Special thanks to George, chris, Mykos, Sophie and Panos. See you next year.
Just returned 6 July 2004.Fantastic hotel, superb location, staff and food wonderful. Buffet style food eat as much as u like. Long trousers for evening only.Excellent pool with bar.Can swap evening meal for lunchtime if required in Cafe 5 metres from sea.Lots of fish in sea, throw bread in, hundreds of fish at waist deep, brilliant snorkelling.Rooms air conditioned cleaned daily, safety deposit box and fridge in room.Any excursions pick and drop off at front door, not like this at other hotels.Lassi excellent central location, Argostoli only 20 min walk, 5 Euro cab.Ww will go again.
Prices for 2 adults and one child (aged 13) for one week at the end of May 2005.
I have read a lot of differing reports on this hotel over various web sites. I am planning to go in August 04 with an 8 year old and 8 month old. Can any comment on the suitability of this hotel
just returned from a week at this hotel. The hotel was in a lovely location and the staff and people were all very friendly but we felt it would have suited us better in another twenty years as the average age of guests must have been 65. There was nothing to do in the hotel at night and the resort was like a ghost town at night with very little night life other than eating in one of the taverna's, which we did a couple of times just for a change of scenery. I think Lassi is a good base for exploring the island and Argostolli was great, when we were there their was a parade to celebrate Ionian day and all the local people were in the square which made a great atomsphere. I would return to kefaliona again but I think I would prefer to do bed and breakfast so you can try all the little taverana's at night as they all looked lovely.
All of the rooms listed are double, I require a twin, are they two twins pushed together or is anyone aware they have twin rooms ?
