My wife & I spent two weeks at these apartments (7th to 21st September)and we can confirm that they are the best we have experienced in Greece after over 20years of package holidays. They are indeed ideally located and the cleaning regime is top class.Who else has experienced accommodation with continuous hot water, Sky News TV, telephone,aluminium doors & windows and security alarm?
We still have plenty of Greek holiday locations to sample in the future but you can be assured that we will return to this beautiful island and hopefully these apartments in the future.

My wife and I have recently returned from a two week stay at these apartments and we can confirm that they are amongst the most well maintained, clean and best equipped apartments we have come across in over twenty years of Greek holiday experience.
They are also situated in an ideal location with the benefit of magnificent views, although the hillside nature of the site can make it difficult when it comes to the problem of getting your luggage to and from the drop-off point.
Argostoli is either 20mins walk (direct route mainly downhill going)or a leisurely enjoyable 75mins walk on the level along the alternative coast road (best enjoyed in the morning, when not too hot)
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will certainly return in the not too distant future.

me and my boyfriend have just got back from kefalonia and we stayed in the metaxatos apartments. we thought they were the nicest apartments we have ever stayed in on a greek island! they were so clean and the maids came in most days and even did our washing up! we had the most amazing view from our terrace and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets too. the apartments were in a great location - 5 mins walk to lassi restuarants and bars, a 20 min walk to argostoli and 25 min walk to long beach. argostoli is great - a lovely square which is buzzing with life and some nice shops to look round too. would recommend these apartments to anyone and would definately go back for a relaxing holiday!

I have been visiting the Greek Islands for over twenty years( although 1st time to Kefalonia )and the apartments in my view look above the usual standard. The reonovation has been completed since April and the roden problem does not exist. Actually there was never really a problem, since it just happened a small mouse from the garden to get into this apartment. I am sorry for what happened but something like this can happen to anybody.
I invite you to look into our new web site www.metaxatos.gr to look for yourself. All the photos were taken only a month ago.
We really want every body to be happy and we do our best for this to happen. I don't think it is nice some people for some reason to try to ruin our efforts.
We are in the bussiness for almost 20 years and we have been always cooperated with big tour operator companies because we didn't have any problems.
It is strange that some people enter to Metaxatos page making usually bad comments for the apartments and at the same time praising Oscar's place.
Those of you who program to come to Metaxatos Apartments I am sure you will love it.

I have just returned from spending two weeks at the metaxatos apartments. I have never been to such a good standard of accommodation when visiting greece the two bedroom apartments where brilliant and the view from both the balcony and pool side was pure heaven especially watching the sunset. There was always plenty of space by the pool whatever time of day. the setting was very nice however quite steep. the apartments were ideally sitiuated between Lassi and Argostoli 5 mins lassi, 10 mins argostoli. would definitely recommened these apartments.

Can anyone please update us on the rodent problem at the Metaxatos apartments, also are the previosly mentioned renovations complete yet? We are booked for 1/8/04 and although some reports are favourable others are cause for concern

I have visited loads of the Greek Islands and Kefalonia is certainly in the top 5. Metaxatos is ideally located to enjoy the best the area of Lassi has to offer, a ten minute stroll from the main restaurant and bar area it enjoys lovely views across the sea with the area of Lixouri on the other side.

The apartments are lovely, clean, a reasonable size and even have a TV, phone and shower curtain which are all rare in this level of accomodation in Greece.

We went to a bar in Lassi, cant remember the name but it had lovely cane furniture and was a lovely setting for a cold beer and England playing during Euro 2004.

Overall a great location and lovely apartments would definately go back!

My partner and I have just returned from a week in Kefalonia. The apartments were lovely we had a beautiful view over the sea and it was fantastic to watch the sunset from our balcony at night. The room was really clean and the maids were really friendly and came everyday. I do not understand the complaints about the rooms as ours was really clean and we never had any problems with the beds which were really comfortable. This is one of the first apartments in Greece that I have ever been to that had a shoer curtain, TV, telephone and toaster! The pool was lovely and we never had a problem finding a space to sunbathe and we were not the earliest of risers!! The view from the pool was lovely and so peaceful so much so that we never made it to the beach!

My husband and I have just returned from Metaxatos Apartments - 22/6/2004 to 29/6/2004. We booked our holiday with Olympic Holdiays and was originally staying at the Irelena Hotel. After booking the holiday we visited various websites, including JustKefalonia to view the comments. Didn't see one good comment so we decided to change our holiday and upgraded to Metaxatos apartments. So glad we did. The Apartments were one of the cleanest apartments we have been to in greece and the views are spectacular, looking over the sea. We would highly recommend these apartments. The pool was very clean and peaceful and the gardens surrounding the apartments were well kept and maintained. You are just a 10 min walk to Argastoli which is well worth a visit. We found the nicest beach to be Long Beach but it was a bit of a jaunt, 30 mins away but well worth a visit. Highly recommended!!

REALLY LOVELY APARTMENTS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, CLEAN LINEN AND TOWELS EVERY 3 DAYS. MAID SERVICE EVERY DAY, KIDS LOVED THE POOL AND THE VIEW OVER LIXOURI WAS BREATH TAKING. THANKS TO MARIANNE FOR THE CAKE YOU BAKED FOR MY BIRTHDAY IT WAS LOVELY. HOPE TO SEE YOU IN OCTOBER. SARAH AND FAMILY

My Son & I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Metaxatos apartments. The view is stunning & the pool & garden areas are clean & well cared for & the bar is brilliant(Absolutely nothing wrong with Panos' choice of music).The barman Richard made everyone very welcome & introduced all the guests to each other which created a great atmosphere.There was no sign of any infestation yet but be very careful when you are making your bed, mine collapsed onto my foot leaving it badly bruised & swollen, after notifying the cleaner the bed,which was obviously dangerous, was removed WITH NO EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY FROM THE OWNERS.The irony is that on the day of departure they tried to make me pay for a cup (the handle came off while drying it & again notifified to the cleaner)needless to say I will not be returning to the Metaxatos Apartments!
REMEMBER CHECK THE BEDS ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN THEY COULD BE DANGEROUS!

we are thinking of booking to stay at the Metaxatos apartments for 2 weeks from 29th May 2004. can you please let me know if the apartments wil be in the middle of renovation at this time or if they will be suitable for occupancy.

I understand the way Mr. Dean Taylor feels about the appartments since it so happened and he had a really bad experience during his stay here.
This problem appeared for the first time in the appartment when he and his family were staying in there and we did whatever possible of course to get rid of the mouse but it wasn't that easy.
when they changed appartment and we had the time to act more drastically we really believed that the problem was over because we had the mouse dead.
So, it was really to the surprise of the cleaners to hear that the people who moved in the appartment had the same problem.
For the history we found out later that mice had found a way to get in and out of the appartment never mind what we did.
Of course we are not happy at all with what happened and first of all I want myself to apologize to Mr. Taylor since I didn't have a chance to do it then.
Second, just think that this can happen to every body's house. The appartments are in very good condition and we keep them very clean otherwise.
This summer the appartments will be completly renovated, we change all windows and outside doors, also kitchen cupboards and all of them will have aircondition and tv.
Our intention is to serve you better and better every year. If something it happens to go wrong, please forgive us.

Myself, my partner and six year old daughter have recently returned from an Olympic Holiday, which consisted of a two week stay (25/09/03 – 09/10/03) at the Metaxatos Apartments in Lassi, Kephalonia.

Upon arrival, we quickly discovered that our apartment (No. 20) was infested with RODENTS. We found droppings all over the apartment, including all over the kitchen surfaces, on every surface in both bedrooms, amongst our clothes in all of the bedroom cupboards and even in our beds.

When we first complained to our rep we were told that we could not be moved. Eventually after further complaints we were moved, but this was 4 days later. During our time in the apartment we were left to clean up droppings and disinfect the apartment ourselves. We had to do this at least three times a day.

After being moved, we discovered that another couple with two small children had been moved into apartment 20. When we spoke to the couple, they said that they had also found the rodent droppings and complained to the apartment staff and Olympic Representative. Apparently, everyone had acted surprised to discover there were rodents in the apartment!!! This leads me to believe, that the rodent problem was a known problem before myself and my family were moved into apartment 20 and that we were also LIED TO.

Also, I have seen no mention on any of the websites featuring "Metaxatos Apartments" about the fact that the apartments are situated between two busy roads. We were in the apartments at the bottom of the hill and we were disturbed by TRAFFIC NOISE from about 6am in the morning and until 2am in the night. And we went at the end of the season, the so-called quiet season.

I am currently in correspondence with Olympic Holidays and so far, their response has been extremely slow and unsatisfactory.

Kephalonia is a beautiful island and well worth a visit. However, I would not recommend the Metaxatos Apartments.

I agree with everything Colin has said. The apartments were clean and the kitchen equipment was a lot better than other apartments in Greece - it had a toaster and a grill oven!!
It was the perfect chill out holiday watching the sunset every evening and finishing the evening off at the Preview Bar listening to Panos' choice of music (a lot to be desired - a lot of laughs were had over this).

Stayed for two weeks booked as a late deal would highly recommend the Appartments and the Bar on the complex, the location is ten min's stroll from Lassi centre and fifteen min's walk from capitol Agostoli.In the fourteen days we were there towels and bed linen were changed every three days and the view from your apartment accross the bay is stunning as is the sun set each evening, Appartments clean and basic set in nice gardens with a great Pool and Panos at the PREVIEW bar. Best place to stay in Lassi.

These apartments were lovely, we stayed in June 2003. and found the bar, pool, and people - lovely!

We can't wait to go again next year!

we would have had a brilliant holiday, but for rita being ill with food poisoning. Panos`s pool bar was brilliant, the people we met like nutty john and kelly, lynn and keith, pat and helen and paul and sally made our holiday. Rania was the absolute star of the show.
Thanks to rania, panos and their family they made us feel so welcome.
and mums kefelonian pie was gorgeous as was the bbq night.

we stayed there for one week in september.the apartments were clean the staff were friendly and the views were lovely.
The apartments are in a good location,also the preview bar is worth a visit,good music,good atmosphere and panos and family were great and made us feel very welcome.
would definitely go back again!

We stayed at the Metaxatos Apartments for 1 week at the end of July 2003, we really enjoyed the whole holiday and recommend that you rent a car for a few days at least to see all the sights Kefalonia has to offer.

The rooms were a bit on the small side so was the shower cubicle. The rooms were also very hot so make sure you rent a fan for your stay to make it a bit more comfortable.

The pool and ocean view was great as was Panos at the Preview Bar.

Well what can i say, amazing! Beautiful views, very good location. The apartments were clean, balcony overlooking the sea and pool. The bar staff were really friendly. Would love to go back again this year. Don't usually like to go same place twice but this is an exception!! Definitely a must! Kefalonia in general is beautiful.

Apartments are basic but clean and all have a sea view which with its location is fantastic watching the sun go down over the bay. Being at the Argostoli end of the Lassi strip you couldnt get a better location. Its quiet were it is but you can either walk to Lassi (couple of minutes away) - which you will do every evening for the fantastic restaurants - or into Argostoli (about 15 minutes walk) the capital. Metaxatos is linked to the Preview Pool Bar which you can chaeck out on this website - its the best bar in Lassi - and it comes with a decent pool !!!! All in all best apartments / location in Lassi !

first visited Kefalonia and the Metaxatos Apartments in september 2001. had such a fantastic time we booked up as soon as we returned for september 2002 to stay in the Metaxatos again. Everybody involved in the day to day running of the apartments were very friendly and Panos who runs the Preview Bar made us feel very welcome - can't wait to go back again!!

We went in May 2002, we had a fantastic time the Apartments are excellent the Owners and staff are exceptional and genuinely friendly. You must visit the poolside bar, The Preview, run by Panos. The Friday night BBQ is highly recommended due to delicious food and brilliant entertainment. We are going to return to Lassi and hopefully Metaxatos in October 2002, what more can I say.
