Mi Abeli Restaurant

We really liked Mi Abeli.  The food is good, service is excellent and the atmosphere is good too.  We went to Mi Abeli 3 times during the week we were in Skala and we will definitely be going back next year. 

Food was OK - usual I suppose from most "side of the road restuarants" in Skala. I though the service was good and the owner took a good customer focus attitude and ensured you were happy and that he was around to say bye when you left.

The sausage starter was beautiful, but it all went downhill after that! Main meal was not as described( the "plain" steak waas covered in sauce) and tasted greasy. Felt like we were being rushed through our meal with the waiter hovering. It was a shame because it was one of the prettiest bar/rests around.

Excellent food and friendly service.  Children made to feel particularly welcome.  Good portion sizes too!!

Definitely one of the three best restaurants in Skala. If it's full, try the Flamingo next door which is equally good.

We ate here several times during our stay in Skala and would have been happy to eat here every night had there not been so many other good alternatives to try! Service was good, food excellent, as other people I had the lamb, which was very tasty. Also good souvlaki and fish!

Just wanted to say that over a year on we still feel the same about this establishment and resort....so much so that we would definitely return at some time in the future....the world dis a big place!

We ate here on several occasions and always found the food good and the service excellent - also try the cocktails here - very good value for money (the pink lady's are fabulous!!!)

We visited Mi Abelli on a few occasions throughout our fortnight and found it to be one of the nicest resturants in Skala. The food and service was excellent and very good value for money too. Also try their cocktails - very reasonable, beating most peoples happy hour prices, and guaranteed to make you smile ;-)

Have just returned from our two week holiday and ate at Mi' Abeli every night. A fantasatic restaurant with excellent food and very good prices. The waiters are very attentive and create a very friendly,relaxed atmosphere. My wife Lisa would like to thank Akiss for the photo and the gift. We couldn't believe you remembered us from last year. Thankyou for helping make our holiday so memorable.

We stayed at the Mi Abeli for 2 weeks last June so it was a natural choice for a meal on our first night. We were made to feel so welcome that although the Lamb Mi'abelli was not quite as tasty as some meals we enjoyed later on during our holiday, the whole experience was so pleasurable that despite the wide choice of tavernas in the resort, we dined there twice more during our fortnight.

Great food and service, well priced and nice location.

Lamb Mi Abeli. Dissapointing, but well cooked and tasty for a cheap cut of lamb,surrounded with a few spuds. I don't think the Feta cheese compliments the lamb though. But a nice restaurant with great staff and well worth a visit.

Great place to eat, staff friendly good wine will go back next year in fact can't wait!!

We went 2 the mi'abeli nearly every night while we was there. It was my favourite restraunt and the food was lovely especialy the chicken souvlaki. The waitors were all really friendly and we had a great time every time we went there. Cant wait 2 go bk next year!!!!

Ate here on 4 occasions during our stay. The food was excellent as was the service. We found the prices extremely cheap but this was probably due to the fact that they were able to provide childrens portions of most things on the menu. Made a change from having to make both the children share an adult meal or buying one of the "kids type" meals some tavernas have to offer. The waiters also make a point of helping with you "Pigeon Greek"

Nice reasonably priced restaurant! I ordered the Lamb Mi Abeli which was
supposedly cooked in the foil! Well, I couldn't swear that it wasn't cooked in
foil but it certainly wasn't cooked in the pristine uncreased peice of foil it
arrived in! This sort of made me sort of suspicious! It was fairly tasty
nevertheless! My girlfriend had the tortellini which she said was delicious!
However it was a giant portion, and when she was only able to eat half of it
the older waiter, possibly the owner, seemed very upset that there was
something wrong with it! Despite reassuring him that it was lovely, he was
adament that my girlfriend should order an alternative! Eventually I think we
convinced him, but we still left the restaurant felling a little guilty! To show him
that we really liked his restaurant (which we did!), we visited a few nights later,
and were surprised that upon requesting a smaller portion of tortellini, the
very same waiter said this was not possible since my girlfriend was over 12!!!
Still a nice restaurant though, if but a little inconsistent in their level of
customer service!

My wife and I actually stayed in the Mi Abeli studios so naturally tried this restaurant on the first evening. We both enjoyed the excellent service and food. My wife had a wonderful lamb dish which arrived in foil together with very tasty vegetables. We would have eaten here again if we hadn't been staying for just a week in Skala as we wanted to try out other restaurants in this excellent resort in Southern Kefalonia. When we passed at lnchtimes and the evenings almost all the tables were full. a great testament to the food and service we experienced that first eveinng in Skala (Great studio too!) We tried the lamb as recommended by others, I found it to be worth a try but
wouldn't have it again because I found it a little salty. The staff were really
friendly & hopeful.

Good prices but reflected in the quality of the food I thought. Good service. I noticed they do kids sizes for any meal.

My wife had peppered steak, bit tough, I had lamb in foil,(nothing special)maybe we tried the wrong dishes.

Ate at this restaurant twice & on each occasion had an enjoyable meal.
Prices very reasonable compared to some others.I had the Kefalonian meat pie which I tried at several restaurants(got a taste for it)& rated this one as about average to good.

Would highly recommend eating here. We went there on our third night and didn't go anywhere else for the rest of the week! Thanks to waiters Akiss and Theo for the great service and laughs.

We have nver been to Greece before and we visited Mi Abeli on our first night my wife and both found it excellent and went back twice more. The service the food and value for money was suberb. I even managed to get through a 1L carafe of white wine! nothing unusual except my wofe only drank one glass! We fully intend going back to Ska;a next year

We ate here every night of our holiday. The food, service and waiters were excellent. The Kefalonian meat pie was good, but the 'Lamb Mi Abeli' was to die for. We are returning next year and will eat there every night again.

We visited Mi Abeli three times for dinner during our recent holiday. (We returned to the UK on May 13, 2003) Each time we enjoyed both the food and the friendly and efficient service - all the staff were top-class and made us very welcome.

Good value-for-money and I would certainly recommend a visit.

Simply the best place to eat in Skala.
Lamb Mi Abeli is the best Kleftico I've had. Great service from very friendly staff.

This is a lovely taverna with a really friendly feel. The waiters were very polite and helpful without being over the top. Try the Chicken Greca-it's fantastic. The wine is also particularly good and the prices were some of the cheapest we paid.

Mi Abeli was our FIRST experience of Greek Food / Taverna's during our holiday (12th-26th Sept 2002). What a WONDERFUL introduction!! The 'complimentary' liqueur at the end of our meal, however, left us searching the whole island for a sample. It was a drink made from Cinnamon and Cloves and was 'pure-nectar'. We only managed to get a small bottle (25cl, or so) to take home though - and that was the LAST ONE in the shop. How about telling us where we can get some more? Or perhaps send us some?? - Great Staff, wonderful House Red wine too. Thanks "Mi Abeli" for making our 'first-night' so memorable!!

the chocolate ice cream was the best ive eva had and came with these cute lil greek flags!!!!! the waiters were v nice (chris and his mate were v nice!!!!!!). good food and service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to mi Abeli's resturant twice while we was staying in skala and everything we had was excellent. The waiters were lovely too especcialy cris!

Very good value for money. Greek salad very good, house wine very good & the the Lamb Mia Abeli was excellent. Service was very good, not rushed at all. Young male waiters pay particular attention to female parties (who can blame them...). The best restaurant we found was the Taverna Grill, however be prepared to queue - very good prices & substantial meals...

Quick service, almost too quick, it felt like we were being rushed. The food was poor, very overcooked meat in bland sauces. What a disappointment!

Our absolute favourite restaurant in Skala with lovely service and gorgeous food for very good prices. We went back on the last night to ensure a perfect last night and it was. We both tried the Lamb Mi Abeli which is absolutely gorgeous. The village sausage is out of this world.

We only went here for a bite at lunch time, but I was dissapointed by the very poor "Club Sandwich": it was more like one a 3 year old might make. Stick to main meals.

fANTASTIC FOOD. EXCELLENT STAFF. WE HAD BIRTHDAY AMOUNGST OUR PARTY AND THEY LAID ON CAKES, BALLOONS AND TREATED US FANTASTICALLY. TRY THE LAMB OR CHICKEN MI-ABELI.
