Lovely apartments, bigger than we expected. The view depends on what side of the house you're on - we had a gorgeous view over the ocean and the whole of Skala. Really lovely.
Gorgeous cocktails and very skilled and generous barmaids. Lovely sitting outside and we even got to see a couple of loved-up lizards hanging off the ceiling...
We had lunch here one day and decided not to go back, since the food was nothing special at all. The waiter hardly spoke a word of English which provided some entertainment. Ok for lunch if you are on the beach and don't want to go to the Pines.
The service was the worst I have ever experienced and the food didn't make up for it. It was nice but not enough to make us go back.
Our absolute favourite restaurant in Skala with lovely service and gorgeous food for very good prices. We went back on the last night to ensure a perfect last night and it was. We both tried the Lamb Mi Abeli which is absolutely gorgeous. The village sausage is out of this world.
The blandest food we had ever eaten. We started with the meze for two which was nice but the mains - meatballs in tomato sauce and moussaka - were just tasteless. We were placed below a telly showing English channels - not exactly why we went to Greece.
The only thing that kept us coming back every day (apart from the fact it was right on the beach and we were lazy) was the crooning pianist. His renditions of 'Let it be' and 'Wonderful tonight' were, to say the least, original. Food was nothing special, I had the greek salad which came with a massive slab of feta cheese. The burgers were ok, and the cocktails were nice. Alright for lunch but I wouldn't go in the evening.
May was good because it was hot but not to the point where you can't sleep at night. We had one bad day with rain which was ok anyway. The temperature was around 22-25 and there were no clouds so we spent all week on the beach.
