Have just returned from fabulous fortnight at Eleanna apartments. I found the accomodation excellent, very well maintained and a pleasant walk (10 minutes slow amble) into main strip of Skala and to the beach. The beach is beautiful, I would recommend you spend some time there. We also found the most amazing restaurant called 'Socrates taverna', you will come across it on the way to beach from Eleanna. All fruit and vegetables organically produced and even have their own wine, which i can highly recommend :-)

We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Eleanna apts, the brochure had not done it justice at all, this is because the pool and bar area are a recent addition.

We had a fabulous fortnight staying at the Eleanna. The apartments are a 5 - 10 minute walk to the spectacular beach at Skala and the main road where the majority of bars and resturants are. The apartments are cleaned thoroughly every day and the pool and bar are excellent too! I really can't praise the staff and apartments enough, everything was wonderful from start to finish...

On the way to the beach you will pass a taverna called Socrates, this place is well worth discovering at the beginning of your holiday as the food, wine, service is excellent, it is also very reasonable. Definitely one of skala's hidden treasures!!!

We visited Mi Abelli on a few occasions throughout our fortnight and found it to be one of the nicest resturants in Skala. The food and service was excellent and very good value for money too. Also try their cocktails - very reasonable, beating most peoples happy hour prices, and guaranteed to make you smile ;-)

Unfortunately we didn't find Socrates Taverna until quite late on in our holiday but still found time to visit on several occasions.The food was excellent, especially the specials. all vegetables organically produced by the owners father and unbelievably good value too. They also have their own wine, which again is wonderful and fantastic value at 5 euros a bottle, I can recommend the dry white and the rose. Definitely our favourite resturant in Kefolonia!!!

Unfortunately we only discovered Socrates Taverna towards the end of our holiday but still managed a few visits. The food and service were excellent, I would recommend the specials, also the stuffed tomatoes, french beans and giant beans - all fabulous!!! they also have their own wine which at 5 euros a bottle is excellent value, the rose and dry white are exceptional. Tremendous value for money in a beautiful setting - can't praise it enough!!!

We ate here on several occasions and always found the food good and the service excellent - also try the cocktails here - very good value for money (the pink lady's are fabulous!!!)
