We would definately recommend Mi Abeli Studios to others. We thought they
were very clean (cleaned almost everyday with sheets changed 4 times), they
are near to everything in Skala & quite close to the beach. The only downside
about it was that there was quite a bit of noise from the restaurant below
which closed at 12am ish, but I think we were unlucky because we got room
number 13 which was on the worse side of the building. Apart from that we
would definately stay there again. We would also recommend hiring a fan
from one of the local shops because it gets really hot & sticky at night. Oh,
another good thing about the place is that books & sun umbrellas/parasols
are left over from other tourist which you are free to use.
This restaurant is a little quieter than the other restaurants, but we think this is
because it's not on the main stretch. After trying out a few restaurants and not
being that impressed, we found the food and service there to be excellent.
They offered an alternative to chips - jacket potatoes. The soulaki dishes are
excellent. Another plus is that the restaurant is surrounded by jasmine plants
which let off a strong & pleasant fragrance.
After eating in a few of the restaurants in Skala this restarant offered olive
paste with the bread which we thought was unsual but was nice. The
restaurant was busy which meant we had to queue and then wait 20 mins for
our meal.
We tried the lamb as recommended by others, I found it to be worth a try but
wouldn't have it again because I found it a little salty. The staff were really
friendly & hopeful.
The beach was excellent. There was a lot of people on the beach but there's
still a lot of beach to have your own space. We had a our own parasol instead
of renting the parasols with beds and found this to be fine. The beach is sandy
but when you get closer to the sea there is a lot of stones. We definately
recommend flip flops.
