Excellent food and excellent service, nothing dodgy about the wine here, the house red was lovely as in all the other restaurants we went to and cheap.
Enjoyed this restaurant so much I visited twice whilst my partner and I was in Skala!! The food, atomosphere and service was fantantic. Very Greek!!
If you want excellent Greek food with a great atmosphere this is the place to go! We really enjoyed going to this restaurant. The only dodgy part is their own wine but they do provide a good choice of others and everything is good value. We will be returning on our next trip!
Very dissappointed as had heard so many good revues. My meal was good, I had stuffed tomatoes, however my partner was very dissappointed with his beef dish. We were bothered by numerous wasps. We didn't go again even though it was the nearest retaurant to us
This was a great restaurant and for me very Greek. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. We both had the lamb chops and the free wine went down a treat. We will definitely return on our next visit.
Easily the best place to eat in Skala. We went twice during our 2 week stay and intended to go back on our last night and couldn't get a table.
We ate just the once here during our two week stay in August. The food and service was very good but our problem during that evening was wasps, persistant, annoying and constantly landing on the food, In fairness to the waiters they were swatting them away in amongst serving other people. This was a shame as you tended to hurry the meal to get away. Other people were also suffering the same problem.Strangely we didn't have this problem anywhere else in Skala
Excellent welcome from Tolos and Yianni. Food was very good quality, choice of baked potato or salad with your meal not the mandatory chips. Swordfish was excellent, souvelaki and special lamb chops also.
Visit Apostolis during our 2 weeks stay in Scala and were very impressed. The food was excellent and the house wine was really nice.
Visited Skala in early July 06. This restaurant is ace, went twice in the week. Its a simple little typical greek taverna, not a large flash restaurant, where they try and teach you greek if you are willing. The 2 guys that were there were very VERY friendly and really look after you, we loved it. Food is great and very reasonably priced, (cheapest we had all week) house wine is very good, suprisingly. Would recommend if you want a peaceful realaxing meal in true greek style.
The best place to eat in Skala. Food and service excellent with a price to match. Dont miss it
the last time we went to skala we found this little gem of a taverna so we were delighted to find it is still there, the food is outstanding everything from the tradditonal english pork steak to the chefs special mousaka, meatballs and the stiffado is delicous, also you get a choice of potato and not just chips like in some resturants. i would always recommend this taverna to anyone visitng skala go off the main road and follow the signs you wont be dissapointed. the service is so friendly, and the prices are brilliant
Two of us ate for 26 euros (an outstanding price). The food was very good: beef stifado (though it was described as veal on the menu, it was a prime cut and excellent) and chicken souvlaki (tender and succulent) plus bread, and two lemonades (that must be how we saved money!). The service was good. As another reviewer has written, we found wasps a real problem and they hastened the end of our meal: they were very persistent. That spoiled the meal a bit. We also ate at Aiolos and The Pines (better than Apostolis), Aquarius and Flamingo (similar) and at Scandinavia and Gallera (worse). Aiolos was the pick of the bunch, for both food and location.
Very good simple cooking. Service was great. Try the house wine, it's really very nice.
we ate here most the staff were very good menu not very big but very good
we actually put that everything was excellent when we entered our comments previously but they came up as average that is an error
Cannot agree more with the previous entries.... Great food and really freindly atmosphere.
we have just returned from our holiday in kefalonia we have been there five times over the past five years, but the first time we have ever eaten in Apostles restaurant. What fools we have been, it was excellent ,food, service ,hospitality location are all top class. The only negative comment was that chips seem to be the only option with your meal if you get there after 9pm.My wife was lucky enough to get the last baked potato one evening !!When we go to greece the last thing we want is to eat chips, but I feel the restaurants are under the impression that we Brits.feel insulted if we are not offered them as an option. So I hope when we visit Apostles next year or later on this year they will have cooked more baked potatoes! We can highly reccomend this restaurant, we tried various meals on the menu all cooked to perfection and the house white wine is one of the nicest we we had while on holiday.
Aye, me and me wife loved it. Beautiful food, good value what more can we say?
