We ate just the once here during our two week stay in August. The food and service was very good but our problem during that evening was wasps, persistant, annoying and constantly landing on the food, In fairness to the waiters they were swatting them away in amongst serving other people. This was a shame as you tended to hurry the meal to get away. Other people were also suffering the same problem.Strangely we didn't have this problem anywhere else in Skala
We ate twice here during a two week stay in August. On both occasions we had a starter. The first time we had one starter each (meat balls in sauce) but shared one the second time (fried cougettes) as the portions were very generous. For the main course we had a lamb dish which was cooked to perfection also the Kefalonian pie which again was a very large portion in comparision to previous helpings at other restaurants.
The setting over looking the sea is a bonus, however it is right next to the main road so if you are placed at busy times on the road side this can be a bit of a distraction. Our visit to the Scandinavia was ok - I had a chicken curry which was very tasty and the wife had a 'lamb casserole' dish which was a bit plain tasting, the service was quick and friendly. This is the one thing I do recall of the Scandinavia - we were in, served, food delivered and out in no time at all!
Mixed feelings about this tour but generaly we were glad we did it.We booked with Panem on Skala high street rather than through our tour company who were charging 14 Euros more each for the same trip.
Stayed for 2 weeks in August and we would not hesitate to return to the Apollo, as stated on other reviews the staff and owners are very friendly, everwhere is kept spotlessly clean, there is plently of parking space for your hire car which I think is essential.
