Superb restaurant with friendly staff and an extensive menu.( Excellent childrens menu as well) Service was excellent and the location on the main street in Lassi meant that you could sit and watch the world go by!
A "must" if you are visiting Kefalonia. Spectacular caves and nice and cool in the middle of a Greek summer. Try to avoid visiting between 11am and 1pm as this seemed to be when most of the bus tours were there!
A wonderful sight and the colour of the water seems unreal! The boat trip only takes about 10 munutes so worth combining your visit with a visit to Sami or a visit to the Drogarati caves. (It does get very busy around lunchtime with bus tours!)
Brilliant reps, reliable and didnt try to "bug"you. Knowledgeable about the island. No delays , transfers were quick and in comfortable transport
Beautiful beach with sand right into the water, no pebbles!Plenty of facilities including watersports and cafes/tavernas/snack bars. Is quite busy around noon.
This is a vibrant village which is the capital of the island. I would not like to be based here for my entire holiday but it is a fantastic place to visit especially in the evening when the square comes to life with both tourists and locals. There is a fantastic atmosphere with Greek music playing , the tavernas and bars all lit up and the shops and street traders vying for trade.
A very isolated spot with nothing around. We stayed in the Fanari Hotel which had a restaurant snack bar and bar. There is not much in easy walking distance but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Lassi and Argostoli are a £2-3 taxi ride away so it is easy to get around if you don't fancy the half hour walk!
The views from these apartments are stunning and they are set just far enough off the main road to be away from any noise. The apartments themselves are basic but typical Greek accomodation. We had a mezzanine apartment for 4 which had a double bed on an upstairs gallery and two single beds in the main apartment(loads of space for three of us!)The cooking facilities are fine and the cupboards are well stocked with crockery etc.The pool area is beautiful and quiet with plenty of beds and space! We would have NO hesitation in going again.
Just back from our second visit to Kefalonia and returned to the Nefeli. As expected the place was as brilliant as last year. The food is excellent and you are guaranteed a warm welcome from all of the staff. Katy the owner is a lovely , hospitable host and the waiters are friendly fun loving and very accomodating. Nothing is too much trouble. SUPERB
Visited Fiskardo to see what all the hype was about. It is a lovely little fishing village with some VERY expensive boats in the harbour but it was nothing startling. Assos was much more picturesque and breathtaking.
Our second visit to Kefalonia but first with JMC. The rep, Kirsty Logan was a gem and couldn't do enough to help.Didn't try to intrude but was always on hand at the indicated times and was extremely bubbly and efficient.Flights were bang on time and quick and efficient transfer to resort. What more can you ask for?
I am putting up my yearly plug for the Nefeli. I just love this place. We have been to Kef. 3 times and have spent many wonderful evenings in the restaurant. Katy ,the owner ,is just brilliant and we keep in touch through the course of the year. The staff are superb and the food is excellent. Prices are comparable with other restaurants in the resort and the setting is lovely. I did notice this year that the service was VERY quick and perhaps it could be a little more laid back , but they can't win as lots of Brits are sadly very demanding when it comes to the time taken for service. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
We will never travel with Thomas Cook again. We booked our holiday last July for this summer. Our accomodation was changed 3 times during the course of the year. It was only after my persistence that I actually nailed them down to offering us other accomodation. They pulled out of our second accomodation 2 weeks before the start of the season leaving the owners with empty rooms and no compensation. We stayed at Liberatos eventually which was great , only to find that Kosmar guests were getting the same holiday for £350 less!
Stunning! What a back drop and the water was unbelievably clear for snorkelling. I could have spent the whole holiday here if I hadn't been staying at the other side of the island!
Can anyone give the exact location of these apartments? I know they are at the end of Lassi where Gradakia beach is and we have stayed in the Sissy apartments before. We have just got a brilliant deal for next summer from Kosmar and have booked.
4th time on Kef but first time staying here.Location was excellent at one end of Lassi just up a small hill. (and to all of those moaning about the hill , just try Liberatos!!)Room was very basic but adequate as a base and given the price we paid was fine.Unfortunately there were a few noisy groups there at the same time as us which did slightly hamper our enjoyment.Sheets and towels were only changed once a week which was unsatisfactory. There are better places to stay at similar prices.
Stayed here in 2002 and returning inJuly 2005.(couldn't have been that bad!) The location is ideal and although they are up a hill, it is not too bad. You should try Liberatos Now that is a hill!! If you turn left just after the pool there is a short cut that takes you right into the middle of Lassi and you are on the doorstep of the Nefeli restaurant(our favourite) If you go there tell Katie that Irene Brian and Scott will be there on the 3rd July There are lots of good restaurants on Lassi's main road and if you are looking for a good walk to get started, you could try the coastal road to Argostoli via Finari. At the Dolphin supermarket take the road towards Oscars and just keep walking. It is about 4k and Sissy is just up the hill from the Dolphin. ENJOY!!
Roy, think you have the wrong place cos Katerina Apartments don't have a pool
Just returned from a brilliant fortnight here again. Tried to book for next year but Kosmar have dropped them. They refused to say why. They are in the first edition of their brochure for 2006 but are now OUT. If anyone finds out if another tour operator takes them on please post here.
What more can I say! Brilliant. We have been to Lassi the last 5 years and ate in the Nefeli most nights. Food this year was even better and it was good before!! Thanks to Katy, Gerry. Aimilios, Costas and all the rest of the staff for making our holiday enjoyable.
So you are actually complaining when really they are exactly as advertised! 2 Star apartments where they have a mixture of studios for 2-3 people and apartments for 4-5. Check the brochure. As to a party of 3 never being in the apartments, wrong again! As with most self catering studios/apartments you can PAY underoccupancy charges to have a bigger apartment, as I have done. I could have been in a studio with my party of three but wanted more space so paid for it. If I had been on the ground floor, it would not have been a problem either and I would have kept the door locked and window shut if people could see in. Seems unfair to blame the accomodation?? Maid service everyday. As with most accomodation on the island this means a quick sweep and empty the buckets. Linen is usually changed midweek. This is not unique to Polymnia. I have spent ten weeks in Lassi in total and have been in every supermarket. To say the Dolphin charges three times as much is just garbage. Your use of language is unecessary and perhaps next year you should PAY for 5 star accomodation in Spain as that is clearly what you want.
