We had three delicious meals in this restaurant, including moussaka, chicken souvlaki (kebab), lemon sole, and nice desserts too. Tried others in Skala but they just couldn't compare to the taste and service here. The waiters were very friendly, and chatty, and never left your glass empty. Well worth a visit, I'd love to come back, if i'm welcome?!

we found the food here just average. I had the kefalonia pie which was ok, my husband had the veal which was like rubber. Only ate here once.

One of the few places we visited twice in the two weeks we stayed in Skala. The food was always good although the menu was unexceptional. What set the place apart was the location and the service.

Excellent ambience and definitely the best located restaurant. Fab food especially if you fancy something 'different'. Can definitely recommend the lobster. Best to book because it is so popular.

Visited Arkontiko only the once,not because we didnt like it but because there are too many restaurants in Skala to stick to just one or two.Had the Kefalonian Meat Pie and Chicken a la Creme,both very nice.Nice location on a balcony looking out over the sea.Quite busy despite being October and the service whilst generally good was a little slow after your main course.Not as intimate as other Restaurants.Overall would recommend it.

after reading all the rave reviews we were expecting better! We ordered the kefalonian meat pie - which had been microwaved and was soggy, and the moussaka - which was cold in the middle and very bland. when I told the waitress she thanked me for my opinion but didn't offer and alternative or a reduction in the bill - a shame really because the restaurant is very pretty with lovely views. very disappointed!

This restaurant was in our opinion the best in Skala with views overlooking the town. Ut was very peaceful and the food was excellent and very reasonable. The service was also very good.

We think this restaurant has the best location. Food is generally high quality wherever you go and the prices average out. However, this place has the advantage of a great location with sea views and peace. It's a short walk from the main drag which means it is quieter and therefore ideal for that romantic dinner! It's behind the church and next to Sally's bar which is also great for a pre-meal drink. It does get busy, however the staff were very helpful in reserving any table we wanted.

I think Arkontiko is over-rated although the house wine was very good. Food is average, you can buy better elsewhere for the same cost. Look out for the waiter who clears up the plates, he'll want to take yours even if you've only just started your meal!!! Service is very good otherwise.

Great location with wonderful view out over the sea.
I had lamb with oven potatoes which was very good.
Gets very busy around 8.00pm & after so you might have wait for a table.

This taverna is very well situated with a lovely view. I had the Kefalonian Meat Pie and it was delicious.

A delightful restaurant with a family atmosphere, good service and very reasonably priced tasty food. We tried to find somewhere better and could'nt. It is situated away from the town centre so it benefits from a peaceful setting with lovely views across the sea. Thank you to the delightful staff who gave us two little bottles of wine on our last night (before we left a tip!!)

Food was excellent as was the service. On balcony with views to the sea - perfect! We loved the cocktail bar below where Sally and Babis make everyone feel welcome.
