my wife and i have been to the most beautiful island of cephallonia 3 times in may and we,re going this may. we love it, not too hot in may. all over the island by car. we saw nicholas cage in sami filming captain corelli. ( my wife loved that.) we,ve been to many other greek islands, but you can,t beat KEFALONIA. C U IN MAY 2003 IN LASSI. YAMASS.

The hotel lorenzo has a lovely swimming pool, is close to main road, BUT we stayed may 2003 and found the rooms small and very basic. also you hear noise all day all night from banging doors to people flushing loos to people snoring. Every morning you get a tray shoved at you with tea and coffee, 2 pieces of bread with a sachet of jam, a piece of cake and in a 2 week stay 2 eggs and 2 bowls of cornflakes and 2 dishes of yoghurt and honey, Delicious i don,t think. And to top it all a sign saying "missing your english breakfast", than why don,t you buy one from the poolside bar for 6 euros. IF YOU GO TO THIS LOVELY ISLAND STAY IN A STUDIO APARTMENT FOR £200 PER COUPLE PER 2 WEEKS LESS THAN THIS HOTEL. Happy holidays.

WE THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE LAKE ALTHOUGH OVER IN 15 MINUTES. yOU REALLY SHOULD HIRE A CAR TO GET THE REAL FEEL OF KEFALONIA AS THERE ARE NOT MANY PLACES LIKE THIS THAT ARE RELATIVELY UNSPOILT. yamass.

EVERY TIME WE VISIT KEFALONIA WE ALWAYS MAKE SURE WE GO UP TO THE CASTLE, COS THE VIEWS ARE WONDERFUL.

WE LOVE FISKARDO , GREAT TAVERNAS AND A WONDERFUL SETTING, HAD A BIT OF TROUBLE GETTING OUR 160FT CABIN CRUISER INTO PORT BUT WE MANAGED SOMEHOW. ( I TELL LIES TOO ).

MYRTOS BEACH IS SPECTACULAR TO VIEW FROM UP ABOVE ON THE MOUNTAIN SIDE, THE BEACH IT SELF IS NOT SANDY BUT THE COLOUR OF THE SEA AND THE NATURAL BEAUTY ARE JUST AWESOME, AND THE DRIVE DOWN TO THE BEACH DOES,NT TAKE LONG AND ITS PRETTY SAFE.

THIS CAR WAS IDEAL FOR ME AS I,M 6FT 5 " YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU GET AIRCONDITIONING IN YOUR HIRE CAR OR YOU,LL BE SUFFERING AS IT GETS BOILING IN THE CAR IF YOU HAVEN,T. ALTHOUGH NOT THE MOST POWERFUL CAR IT STILL MANAGED TO GET US UP AND ALL THE MOUNTAINS AND DIRT TRACKS.

GREAT PASTA, GREAT AMBIENCE LOVED IT

LASSI IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY WITH 2 FANTASYIC BEACHES, GREAT RESTAURANTS AND NOT TO FAR FROM AGOSTALI THE ISLANDS CAPITAL. BUT PLEASE IF YOU GO TO KEFALONIA HIRE A CAR EVEN FOR A FEW DAYS AND ENJOY THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE ISLAND. HAPPY HOLIDAYS. YAMASS
