Kiani Akti Restaurant

I visited here with Greek friends and had fantastic platter,fresh,huge portions.reasonable price.I have never witnessed such blatent ripping off of tourists when i visited with some UK friends.RUDE staff,poor table,food was less than average.I never saw such a disgusting display in 17 years in Kefalonia. I'M SAD TO SAY.

returned from Kefalonia on 22nd June, this was our 11th visit and we still love the place, been to Kiani Akti again and this time felt really ripped off, we know the fish is not a cheap choice but this was our last night and we wanted a change from the normal fare, we were shown the fresh clams and the wild red snapper which looked lovely. I chose the clams for starters which came as an extremely small portion and my husband had deep fried battered courgettes (lovely) and we both had the red snapper as main course the waiter told us the price would be 54euro each for the fish, but as it was something special we didn't mind, however ,when it came, it came alone without any vegetables, potatoes, chips, or anything which was very dissapointing, especially as the board read, local fish cooked in the oven with roasted vegetables, it was probably my own fault for not checking, but at that price I expected the works and felt like I was being treated rather stupidly. I would go again and I would recommed it but next time I will know what to ask for, and advise anyone to be clear on what they are paying for. the total cost with a bottle of local rose was 120 euro.   

A GREAT EVENING ,WONDERFUL FOOD,A BEAUTIFUL SETTING,GOOD SERVICE ,IT MADE MY HOLIDAY.THE KEFALONIAN MEAT PIE AND THE FISH DISHES SUPURB.

Great location, great food.
Have been there over a number of years and always been happy with the
food. It gets very busy and the waiters can get harassed. Last summer
unfortunately had a very rude waiter who spoilt the evening. (He criticised my
Greek though I then realised he wasn't Greek and not used to the nuances of
the language!!!) However this has been the only glitch at this place.
Make the effort to go there.

Sorry to spoil the fun but we were riped off ! We have been to Kefalonia five times so we were not novices, we add eaten fish before so we knew it was expensive !. Meal for four 3 of us had moussaka etc my wife Red Snapper most bills in kefalonia come to 40 to 45 euros for 4 the bill was 85 the red snapper 45 that 30 quid ! Ripped off or what !

A great restaurant on the water front at Argostoli - a little bit out of the town centr but all the better for it! The restaurant overlooks the bay and is situated on a small jetty. We have eaten here numerous times over the last few years and have always thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. particulary good this year was the chicken in tarragon sauce and the taramasalata served here has to be the best on the island if not the whole of Greece
