Greekstones

We hired a car from Greekstones after reading very positive reviews on the internet. Very, very pleased with service. Owner spent a lot of time advising us on places to visit. Was able to leave car at the airport. Brilliant service. No fuss. x

IF YOU NEED A CAR GO TO GREEKSTONES.

We have hired a car from Antonis on our last 6 visits to Skala and he's a total star. You'll get a good deal, excellent personal service, and loads of helpful advice on routes and places to visit (it was thanks to Antonis that we first discovered Avithos beach and Mama's taverna). We wouldn't go to anyone else.

Thanks to this website we headed of to Greekstones as soon as we arrived in Scala (June 2007 ) and we were so glad we did. These two blokes are really helpful , friendly  and jovial (they will probably tell you about the ejector seat ,red button ), I think we paid about 220 euros for a very newish looking  hyundai assos  (1000 cc ) with air conditioning, no problems at all . We were a bit worried about the roads  but the traffic was extremely light , sometimes we would travel for miles without seeing another vehicle .

We did not actualy hire a car during our stay but John and Rose did.We made friends with these two as they were staying in the same hotel as another couple Russel and Sally whom we only met at Gatwick waiting for our flight,when they discoverd we were getting married in Scalla John and Rose kindly offerd to use there car to transport us from the Paspalis to the town hall.When the car arrived for us all four of them with the help of others in there hotel had decorated the car for us,after the ceromony they put cans and a banner that they had made saying just married and with help from staff in there hotel it also said it in greek.When Andy and myself got into the car to return to our hotel John drove around the town blaring the horn ,ime sure he enjoyed that as much as we did.

Excellent service - tiny bit more expensive perhaps, but worth it even if they were because the car was great as were the people.

We hired a Punto in August 2006. We exchanged E-mails with Melis in advance, who replied within 24 hours each time in perfect English.  The best thing is that there is no hassle with having to pay extra for essentials like CDW - everything is included in the very reasonable price.  We were met at the airport as promised, completed the paperwork quickly, fitted in (4 adults + luggage!) and off we went.  We saved £80 by driving ourselves to and from the hotel rather than using transfers, which makes the £188 we paid for the car for the week look even more of a bargain.  The car was brand new and behaved perfectly - loads of room for my tall passengers in the back.  Kefalonia a a great place for wandering around - a car is essential for this, and Greekstones are totally recommendable.  After checking in (very early) at the airport, we realised we had an hour to spare before we were due to hand the car back, so went back to the beach (which is 5 minutes away) for a final paddle!  Their representative then met us at the airport, said "Have you had a good week?" (which we certainly had!) - asked where the car was, and drove away!  No suspicious inspection of the car or anything.  All in all, a completely friendly, hassle-free, efficient, good value service.  Highly recommended.

Just came back from Scala a week ago and wanted to say how great Greekstones was to hire from. They turned up exactly on time and the car even had an air freshner in it!

Definitely recommend Greekstones, friendly and reliable and not a rip off like other hire car companies.  We didn't get the jeep from there because of the minimum age but we hired a small car for the last few days and would definitely use them next time!!  They don't have any hidden extras and will deliver and collect free if you are outside of Skala, and actually they are about the same price as others we looked at (i.e. Sunbird).

Just returned and hired a Jimny for 7 days and the guys at Greekstones was the best after asking most of the hire companies in the high st. These guys explained everything thouroghly and made sure we was aware of all the insurance details that alot of the others dont cover. Id say stick with these guys 10/10 Get out and explore Kefa its beautiful!

We have just returned - got a jeep for 4 days. The service is excellent - from instruction on where everything is in car to where to go on the island.

We were in Skala, Kefalonia last August/September and had a great holiday.

Greekstones are brill. The staff were very very friendly and informative they could not do enough for us.

The car was great, we went everywhere with no problems.

We hired a suzuki jimny, our son loved it, the sevice we received was friendly and helpful, we will hire from here again next year, we can't wait !

Kefalonia is a lovely place, Scala is a nice little resort full of lovely people, and Greekstones is the top car hire spot. You won't get a better, more friendly or helpful service anywhere and Anthony is a really top guy...we'd accidentally left a little bag (of no real value) with about three euros in change in it, in one of the cars when we took them back, within a couple of hours the bag and euros were hanging on the door handle of our studio.

Hired Suzuki Wagon R this year. Deceptively roomy little car ideal for family of 4 with Air Con essential for the hotter days. First class service from Antonis and his team, without doubt the best Car Hire firm on the Island.
