We have just returned from a weeks holiday in Skala and stayed at the Mi Abeli through Cosmos. The location is excellent - being on the main high street and 2 min's from the beach. We liked it here and we got a balcony with a sea view! However, the studio wasn't as clean as I would have liked and we only had sheets / towels changed once in the week we stayed.
Postives: Location, Wooden shutters on the balcony (so to let air in at night but no mossies)
We have just returned - got a jeep for 4 days. The service is excellent - from instruction on where everything is in car to where to go on the island.
We were a bit confused as to the name of the restaurant - it is on the beach front of the Nine Muses hotel but the restaurant is called Aeolos...
Mi Abeli was one of our favorites and we ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch. The service is excellent, it was always busy in the evenings, and it is probably one of the more traditional restaurants you will find in Skala. The prices are also very competitive and very good value for money. The only negative as with all the restaurants in Skala is that the main comes too quickly after the starter.
Aquarius and the Pines were pretty similar - the food is excellent, but they just aren't very Greek. One tip I would give for anyone going to Skala who likes to enjoy a long meal is to ask for a 20 min break in between starter and main as in all restaurants they came too quickly.
