Visited the lake at the beginning of October. Very enjoyable but found it too quick, we were only on the boat for about 8 mins, enough time to go into the cave turn around and go back. Charge is 5 Euros per person for the boat, 4 Euros(I think) for the optional photo plus a tip for the boatman who, as the previous comment says, are not subtle in asking (ours looked like Einstien with bad hair).
Well worth the exiting drive down, spent most of a morning there and, as we visited in early October, not at all crowded. Weather was great as well. The sea was actualy warm and great for snorkleling. You do have to climb out at some points along the beach as the pebbles do build up with the waves, also it gets quite deep very quickly. We were advised not to sit outside the cave as loose rocks can be dislodged by animals from up above (maybe we missed a sign). Didn't try the snack bar so can't comment.
We absolutly loved this restaurant. Great food (Kleftico and Stifado my favorite) always served hot. Prices very reasonable. If Peter (the waiter) asks you what team you support, say "Ackrington Stanley" and watch his bemused face. Restaurant just off the Square.
Not what I would call a "must see", just a cool, slippery cave you can do in about 5 mins. We did like the bats though. Entrance 3.50 Euros as at the 5/10/02 and you have the usual coffee/food bars charging faily high prices for a drink.
We stayed at the Lorenzo for 7 nights at the beginning of October. The room we had was basic but comfortable, unfortunately, we were situated right next to reception which gets noisy at times(expected really), so I would recommend you avoid room 115. Staff are friendly and the cleaners do a great job (couldn't get used to putting used toilet paper in a bin!). The Atmosphere Bar didn't seem to have any when we were there, but it was late in the season. Judging by the comments left by previous guests this can be quite a noisy hotel in high season.
Great service, excellent Rep (can't remember her name, but very bubbly and knowlegeable). Will definately use again.
Don't bother, not worth the drive, just full of posers and people saying "darling", lost all of its character to the boating set, the only thing it has going is the picturesque setting
We were in Lassi from the 1st to the 8th October and found it very agreeable. We only had one afternoon where the rain spoilt the day. Temperatures averaged around 20 deg. with sun on most days. You do take a chance at this time of year so we were lucky. Crowds were minimal so seeng the sites was easy, but most of the water sports (jet skis, bananas etc) have closed.
