we booked to stay at the george 2 studios Katelios again this year.We have just been told that Golden Sun no longer have contract.Does anybody have any details on how to either book direct, or which tour operator they are now with? Hope somebody can help us as we are really disappointed

My wife and myself visited Kefalonia for the first time in June2003, stopping at the George 2 studios.We found the studio very clean and large by any standard.The setting was perfect set in a rural area and being very quiet. Despite what some say on this page it is only 10 minutes maximum slow walk to the bars and restaurants of Katelios, and yes there is a bit of a hill but nothing to exert you. We are both in our late 50's and my wife has leg and back trouble but she managed it easily.

We enjoyed our stay so much that when we got home we booked up for 2004 within one week of arriving home and also some of the other people staying there did the same and we are meeting them there this year.

A nice quiet relaxing holiday, dont go if you are looking for a riotous time but for the quiet life excellent. Nice pool and small quiet bar where you are well served in a quiet polite and friendly manner by Fon the barman.

We had a 1 bedroomed apartment. The furniture was good, the bathroom spacious for Greece, but you needed to mop the floor after a shower! Apartments cleaned every 2 days. The staff are very friendly.

We went Domas appartments last September, and we have just booked to go to George anexe. has any one been this year.

we visited katelios on the 27th july 02 for one week.when we got there the first impression was not good.It had been raining hard for 2 days and the entrance was flooded,so getting across with our suitcases was not good,but however when the sun started to shine 2 days later the whole place looked so much different.the room was clean and a good size with everything that we needed.the balcony was big and the veiw was excelent.it looked over the pool and poolbar and in the distance you could see the harbour and the mountains and sea.the only down point about it,that wasnt a really bad one,was it was quite a long walk down to the restaurants,bars and beach.Not too bad walking there downhill but walking back uphill was a mission.
