This is our 7th trip to Greece each time booking with Kosmar but after our latest trip to Kefalonia we will never use them again!! Nothing wrong with the Island just the reps that are there (I say the reps that were there as you never seen them just the shut doors of the office)
We ate here twice my wife would highly recommend the Swordfish it was her first try and she adored it. The waiters were friendly, service very good, food excellent and the price was right.
We only managed to eat here once which was a shame as the restaurant was really nice they played relaxing music the time we were there they had on Enya which we found really chilling. I tried Kefalonian Meat Pie it was delcious and very filling so this place was real vlaue for money.
We ate here twice on our fortnights holiday we found the staff pleasant the food also very nice, my wife on both occasions had Chicken Soulvaki which was cooked to perfection and came with rice topped with a tomato sauce which gave enough flavour not to need more seasoning.
Although the food in this restaurant was nice the only problem we encounter was the amount of wasps around, the owner did commented on getting wasp traps but every day we passed he had not done anything about it which put us off eating there again.
We recommend this trip but please note if you book woth the rep there is hidden costs we were not informed of, we only found out when we were half way there by the tour guide on the bus, the extra charges where to gain access to the museum and site of olympia which you have to pay as this is the whole point of the trip! We felt robbed as we had already ready paid 58euros each for this day trip and thought everything would be included for that price? It was a long day and would be better if you could go off and do your own thing rather than listening to the guide as he repeated himself several times on that same thing. We also would suggest you take a packed lunch as you don't get to eat until well after 3pm.
This was a really good trip the only down side was the wine tasting at 9am. Although alot of time is spent on the bus you do get to see some wonderful sights of Kefalonia and out guide on the bus Hilda was really informative and kept us entertained with all her stories. Again watch out for hidden costs as the lake and caves cost extra but again this is one of the reasons for going on this trip so you must pay as they are something you must see
We have just returned from our stay in Dionysios Studio Apartments and thought they were ideal for what we required. We only use our room as a base somewhere to sleep, shower and change. There are comments regarding the traffic noise but you must remember you are not staying in a purpose build resort you are staying where locals live and still have to work so you just accept some traffic disturbance. I would stay here again but I would like them to change the towels more often than just once a week.
Please ignore the comments made that this bar will make Skala in to Falaraki. It will do no such thing this is the best bar in Skala the staff couldn't be nicer. If people are still out drinking at 4am then should they not be somewhere like Falaraki where this is more catered for?? I can state that fights happen at home in the UK where people drink too much and have daft arguements. I could say this bar will make Skala just like the Quayside in Newcastle but I won't as its completely different to English bars, this is a laid back bar where you can sit and watch the world go by without being bothered by other people.
