This attraction is well worth a visit. Beautiful location with funny men who row the boats!
We stayed across the road at the Sophie Elena apartments but were allowed use of the pool and bar here. The pool was very well kept, but as had been said before, you had to adhere to Makis's rules or you could be chucked out! Makis was a nice man and the bar prices were ok at 3 euro's pint.
went here for a few drinks during our two weeks holiday, really enjoyed it! Music and atmosphere was good. Also great cocktails, especially the olympic cocktail! Seemed to be the only decent bar in the area with ugly women!
Very friendly and welcoming staff even though the head waiter had a weird haircut!! Food was great, would recommend mousakka(stuffed aubergine with mince with cheese on top), the carbonara and lasagne was also excellent!
This was a lovely wee restaurant with friendly service and great food. Would recommend the pizza but get a small! as they are big enough!! The open kebab was nice but the pitta bread was too greasy! Costas the waiter was a really nice guy. Next door is a wee bar which has karaoke on Monday and Friday nights but closes at 11pm (so not the best for partyers!!)
We went to Ithaca with Etam tours which we thouroughly enjoyed! The coach picked us up in the morning and we got the ferry from Sami. Ithica is a beautiful island with very steep hills for the bus to climb (not for the faint hearted!!) We recommend that you take the opportunity to go for a swim at the beautiful secluded cove area of Kioni which has amazing clear waters. We found etam tours to be very informative of the island and the tour guide to be very friendly!
Learnt a lot about the history of the island on this tour, and gave us information to further explore the island on our own. Visiting the lakes and the caves were the best part of the tour! Photo stops and scenery were breathtaking.
Very quiet location, really need to hire transport (scooter 30 euros for 3 days) as last bus to argostoli is 11am and last bus back from Lassi is 2pm! Beautiful beaches. Not much nightlife at all, but a great place just to relax. Recommend Ammes beach. local shops are quite expensive so your probably best to go into Argostoli for shopping if your SC. Very near to the airport but there are few flights each day with very little noise.
The caves were well worth a visit. Very unusual and very cold which gives you a break from the heat! There are 126 steps to walk down and then up again! Good photo opportunity.
This was a tiny wee fishing village set in beautiful surroundings. Lots of restaurants by the water, would recommend a dip at the local beach.
