The best Greek cuisine food we ate in Kefalonia! I look forward to come back next year! A wonderful family who always greeted us with a smile and great welcome Since 2009 when the first holiday we spent in ag. Efimia and so far only to the tavern we found the most delicious lamb chops, best cheesecake and calamari. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality Spiros family!

I second everything that Heather Marshall wrote. I have eaten at this taverna on many occasions when visiting Kefalonia. It is so nice to get home cooked Greek food. I had stopped eating traditional Greek food as the experience on every occasion was disappointing. I was persuaded to give the moussaka a try 2 years ago and have never looked back since. Beef stiffado was to die for. Also lamb in lemon sauce. Spinach pies, salads, tsatsiki were excellent. The hospitality and welcome there were beyond words and I am remembered each time I visit. Have tried other tavernas and had some good meals but this is the one I always return to and the ONLY one I felt warranted a review.

Well done Spiros & family!  Returned to Agia Efimia for the second time this summer and headed straight back to one of our favourites to check it was a good as we remembered.  Tried the Moussaka; Lamb in Lemon Sauce; Stifado; Haloumi Cheese salad; grilled chicken and pork - all every bit as good.  Friendly and helpful staff (even got the recipe for Tsatsiki from Spiros' wife!); excellent traditional food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Looking  forward to May 2011 when we go back for more!

Recommended - ate there once, but was very good - Had a meze starter, fried courgettes and Kleftico with Bakalava for afters. Waiters very friendly and helpful. We only didn't eat there more because we discovered Pergolas

Just returned from yet another wonderful vivit to Kefalonia and missing it already, as usual our welcome and food at Spiros was wonderful, what can I recommend?   Most things on the menu including the Kleftico, the meat pie and the lemon chicken also the spinach pies for starters, but do not forget to leave room for dessert especially  the cheesecake.

When returned this year we were welcomed as part of the family, great food, wonderful desserts and nothing is too much trouble, if it is not on the menu just ask and they will try their best.

Greek Night is something else and it is as well book for the Saturday night as it gets very busy.

Ate twice here, the first time had chicken souvalaki. This was very good with large pieces of tender chicken. The second meal was Kleftica which was very disappointing. This came in a brown dish and covered in cheese(Salty)and is the standard mass produced variety which is now unfortunately appearing all over the Greek Islands.

The best meal in hole Kefalonia among others is pig in the spit! The fax number is 0674061002 plus the code for Greece and the e-mail is spiros30@otenet.gr

I had no complaints about this restaurant, but didn't think it was anything spectacular.

the breakfasts here are the best in the resort and good value, both english and continental. the other food is served with a lack of enthusiasm by the staff, and we found many dishes over laden with garlic. the souvlaki is good but peppery.

the taverna is above paradise beach and the position is stuning esp at night, but we thought the food was overated and you got the feeling he was trading on his mention in the rough guide. the was a lack of fish in some of the fish dishes and his meat balls had a lot of breadcrumbs.
