Myrto Apartments - (Accommodation in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

A clean, spacious apartment with a good sized terrace, located within a few yards of the sea. Try to get a front facing apartment for the view.

Agia Efimia Beach - (Beaches in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

Beaches are small and pebbly, and the sea is excellent for swimming and snorkeling.

Glass bottom boat trip - (Kefalonia Excursions)

Ruth S

Despite travel sickness on the bus over, this was an excellent day. The activities and the BBQ were great, and there were a few characters amongst the staff, in particular, the Captain.

Assos - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

Assos was gorgeous! This was the nicest place we visited. Try Platanos/Platos(?) restaurant in the square, as the food was lovely, particularly the deserts.

Drogarati Cave - (Places to Visit in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

Worth a visit!

Fiskardo - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

Very nice, but not as nice as I was led to believe. It's worth a look.

Agia Efimia Resort - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

If you want to relax, this is the place, but don't expect wild nightlife. Excellent if you want to have a nice meal and a few drinks, and enjoy swimming/snorkeling.

Assos - (Resorts in Kefalonia)

Ruth S

I recon this is the nicest place on the island. It has it's own peninsula, and is very peaceful.

Finikas Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

I wouldn't go as far as to say I hated it, but I couldn't understand whay it was always so busy. It was probably my least favorite restaurant in the resort.

Makis Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

Had a couple of very good meals here, but a couple weren't so good. Definitely worth a try and the service is excellent.

Pergola Taverna - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

I thought this was the best restaurant in Ag Ef. Friendly service and lovely food, (sometimes a bit oily though). It seems to be cheaper, perhaps because it's a bit off the beaten track.

September - (Best Time to Visit)

Ruth S

We were in Ag Ef for the first two weeks of Sept and probably had the equivalent of 3/4 days of rain. Fortunately when it did rain, it cleared up fairly quickly, and the thunderstorms were worth seeing. When the weather was nice, it was ideal temperatures for sitting out in, and it never got unbearable.

Spiros Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

I had no complaints about this restaurant, but didn't think it was anything spectacular.

To Steki Restaurant - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

Had a couple of meals here, both of which were fine. Good, but not as good as Pergola.

Pergola Taverna - (Restaurants in Agia Efimia)

Ruth S

p.s. Try the shrimps. They are gorgeous and you get loads. The spinach pies and home made soups are also lovely.

Manos - (Tour Operators in Kefalonia)

Ruth S  (27 September 2002)

The Manos rep was nice and helpful, and they seemed to have a good selection of excursions. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
