stayed here 1st-8th july in room 5 on the middle floor the room was large with a good size balcony it was clean and in good order.paul the owner lives next door and grows all his own fruit and veg in the apartment grounds.i did find the road to the front could be a bit noisy some mornings but not enough to make it unpleasant.the views out over the bay were great!the apartments did not have a pool but we were allowed to use the one in the fiona apartments just up the road.
We stayed at Ocean Front Studios during the 28th September - 5th October 2003. We had Apartment No: 3 on the ground floor, our view was the little garden patch at the front and then the sea. The owner would come out every morning and say hello before weeding the garden. We had some cats as well, they are lovely and wont hurt you so please feed them.
We stayed in no:7 the studio was a good size,it was adequately clean .The view from the balcony was good. There could have been more kitchen equipment and the bathroom floor wasn't able to take the water from the shower into the drain ! We wouldn't choose to stay there again and the Kosmar reps were hopeless at the airport which was chaos ! But Kefalonia is beautiful and having a car is a must there are some great places to eat in Lourdas . The road outside the Ocean Front was not our idea of quiet but generally it was a good holiday and there are plenty of alternative places to stay for a future visit. Trapezaki beach and the bay to the left handside is super we swam there every morning . 14th/21st September 2003.
We stayed here in July/August 2001. Have visited many Greek Islands but Kefalonia is my favourite. I think we stayed in studio 9. It was on the top floor anyway, directly infront the top of the stairs. The studio was extremely clean and had a large private balcony overlooking the sea with Zante in the distance. Instead of going to the main beach (we walked there once and in that heat once was enough) we turned right out of the studios and a little way along found a track to a beach called 'Kanali'. It was abit of a climb down but not too difficult and my husband and I soon got used to it. The beach was lovely with only a few people about so very private. It's only 5 minutes walk from Ocean Front to some of the tavernas and supermarkets. Superb food, beach, studios, local people and island. We hope to return next year (2004).
Small clean studio we stayed in number 9, Paul the owner was more then helpful, his gardens are in fact for producing home grown friut and veg, they are not supposed to be ornamental and I had an interesting walk around them.
The studio is small but adequate for sleeping and changing in.
Downstairs studios are larger.
nice walk up to taverns and shops, long walk to Lourdas beach, Trapezaki is nearer if you can find the donkey track.
Long hill up from both beaches but there is a bus!!
we stayed at the studios 6th-13th October 2002 the weather wes very unsettled (4 thunder storms in one week) we stayed in 'penthouse'suite 10 & the roof leaked!!! The best idea is to hire a car and enjoy the whole island. The accomodation is very small and you would not wish to spend a lot of time there! The gardens at the Ocean Front apartment leave a lot to the imagination It would not take much to smarten the apartments up; the Aristomensis apartments are facing the Ocean Front Studios and are also used by Kosmar; this is where I wish I had booked for as it is beautifully clean and puts the Ocean Front to shame!!!!!
A fabulour view on a quiet road but within easy reach of the village shops and tavernas. The owner runs a shop attached to the apartments and could not be more helpful. A holiday of a lifetime, if you are looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.
