This was the best restaurant we found in Lassi. Le Gondola was anything but genuine Italian - if thats what you're after then give El Gabbiano a go. Free brandy was also a bonus!
Basic but clean. Be aware that the hotel is quite noisy due to the marble floors. You will hear everyone 'flip flopping out in the morning and again in the evenings! Hotel owners were helpful\friendly when I visited in September 2002. Walking distance to a small patch of beach and just a few mins walk to the main road for bars and restaurants.
I thought this was a bit over rated. Pretty enough but the whole visit only took 20 mins from parking up to driving away. Toilets on site were awful so go before you go!!
I was expecting a little more to be honest. I almost fell down most of the steps as they are REALLY damp and very slippy. Inside the caves are pretty enough but its really quite a quick trip. There is a small café and shop opposite the caves to stretch out the visit!
I found Lassi to be one strip of concrete with a few random shops and various restaurants all churning out the same food. Think cheap and cheerful rather than traditional Greek cuisine. If you want a decent meal go to Argostoli. Just off the main square, restaurant with a huge Mandolin outside. Friendly and food the best we found close by. Beaches were good with beautiful clear water which made the holiday for me!
Brilliant little beach. Great for snorkelling as the water was crystal clear and lovely and warm when I visited in September 2002.
Ideal time to visit. Saw an amazing storm one night that we were there. Magical if not a little scarey! Hot during the day with gentle breeze, evenings were cooler but not cold.
