We've been to pelagos twice before and love it to bits!!! Can't wait to get back in July this year. The hotel is amazingly clean and tidy, the atmosphere is outstanding and the staff (family) couldn't be more helpful. We went with my sister in law and family last year with little Jo, my nephew, who was just 1 and with friends on their first visit to pelagos. It's brilliant to know that places still exist where you can take kids knowing that they will be perfectly safe and will have fun too.
sorry - brilliant job (typo from last post!)
We've been to skala for thelast two years and are going again this year (pelagos bay - fantastic). We have seenthe town grow a little with what looked like the start of a pavement from the town out towards poros on the beach road, but it is in no way spoilt. It is still a village with real charm, outstanding food (aquarius probably our favourite but still can't go wrong at flamingo or pines) and a great beach. I think it's a place we'll always hold dear and will go back to time and time again.
We really love Skala. We've been twice before and going back again this year - 7 weeks and counting!!! You can't go wrong with this place, beautiful beaches, great atmosphere, feels safe and secure. An all round winner
We always stay at Pelagos Bay and so this is always the place to eat on the first night (two minutes away). Got say though, we never only eat here once - you've just got to come back. Brilliant food and service. The staff are really good and Fatos is only too happy to make "Billy's Dish" for you which is a seafood pasta bowl - stunning. Only negative is that there were quite a few wasps around last year - but that was general, not just here. Really looking forward to eating here in a few weeks time - BRING IT ON!!!
sorry, only just realised I didn't put ratings - it's top drawer.
A great restaurant - excellent food, wine and atmosphere. We're coming back to Scala for our third time in a few weeks and we'll definitely be paying a visit. Last year we had a big group with a 1 year old in it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. First class.
Brilliant food, brilliant wine, brilliant staff, brilliant atmosphere. Don't need to say any more.
A great restaurant this one. We had a large group last year and will have again this year. What really impressed me is the way that, even though the place was packed, they still managed to accomodate a group of 9 people. Not only that, the food was first class and all the meals always came together. A top, top place. Eat here. (It's next door to the Pines if you've not been before - well, it's still there even if you have been before too!)
A fair point from the poster below. This place is really classy, and the food is excellent (my favourite Kefalonian Meat Pie out of the restaurants that we have eaten in), but it isn't the most Greek of places. That's not a big problem for me because when we go for a meal we want good food, service and atmosphere and you definitely get that at the Pines. Eat here for sure but if you can't get in, and there's a good chance you won't because it's chocker most nights, nip next door to Flamingo's or down past the post office to the Aquarius and tuck in there instead.
Got back last night from another brilliant fortnight at Pelagos Bay! Superb time had by all, AGAIN!
