A very friendly taverna, good food, good choice of food, quick service even when busy. The "Greek Dancing" was not quite what it said on the tin!
Now called Avis/CBR hire. We hired a small car, with aircon, for 170 Euros for 4 days. We did 350 Kilometres and got through 20 Euros worth of fuel. You definitely need wheels of some sort to see what the island has to offer. CBR were very efficient and there was no problem getting a car mid-season- the insurance (included) covered you for absolutely everything.
This beach is beautiful-sandy not rocky. Mainly used by locals. Good selection of watersports.
Its a superb, secluded beach, very safe, with two good tavernas. We did "the climb" from beach to village once. Sane people would take the car.
They seem to be a little cheaper than other operators and they provide a good service. The rep, Cathy, was helpful and not anxious to flog you all their (competitive) tours and deals which was refreshing.
It was very cool, on a hot day, and as stunning as they say. We got a multi lingual boatman who was very informative. The water is up to 35 metres deep. Quite short but definitely not to be missed.
This is like something out of "Tomb Raider". Fantastic, and there is a bar and the use of a pool afterwards.
We landed at 09:30 and it was already 37 degrees. It was fiercely hot. You can see why the greeks like to have some shade available.
