We ate at this restaurant twice. The food was excellent - I had moussaka, my husband pork chop. Good sized portions and fast, efficient service. They also gave us a map showing 5 of the best routes to tour the island and discount from the jewellery shop. The icecream dessert was huge with sparklers - we had to take a picture! If (when) we return to Kefallonia we will definately eat there again.
We ate here 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I tried moussaka, spaghetti bolognese and beef stifado, my husband had pork chop all 3 times. The service was good, house wine better than average and atmosphere good - it was always busy when we went - says something! Will definately eat there next time we are in Kefalonia.
We were outside looking at the menu board, when suddenly this big greek man appeared from nowhere. FAMILEEE!!!!! he said and proceeded to tell us the history of the restaurant and the entire menu. We thought Why not? so followed him in over the elaborate water feature (glass covered waterfall underfoot). I had pepper fillet steak and my husband had squid which was excellent. Can't remember what the children had, except littlest one had chicken negkets! Frozen diced veg spoiled it a bit but rice was good and chips were fresh. Ate there twice during our holiday.
When we went it was quite late and not very busy, but a greek family arrived just after us so we were encouraged by that. I had lamb kleftico which was nice, my son had lamb with a tomato sauce which was nicer, my husband had lamb chops and my oldest daughter had a pasta bake which was good. My youngest daughter had fish fingers which were dire - definately not Birds Eye - more like fishcakes. The crepes we had for sweet were good and the price was excellent - about 45€ including drinks (we all had at least 2). Worth a visit.
We ate at both restaurants and the food was excellent. We recommend the pizza - it was the best! Also we had a 'Captains risotto' for a starter which was delicious. The restaurant on the seafront is in our opinion the better of the two - service not as good but views of the harbour and traffic chaos make it interesting!
