We returned from Skala last week and really enjoyed it. The apartments are on the road running through the village and were small but spotless. The furniture was new and we had a ground floor room at the back so it was very private for us. Anna apartments are great if you just want a basic clean room with kitchenette.
Came back from Skala last week - the Captains Bar is excellent made so by the staff Tina and Monica - they danced and talked the night away but never any problem getting served. Its only a small bar but friendly. Have given top marks to Hunks and Babes cos me and Linz were there !
We really liked this restaurant. The staff were friendly particularly at the bar. The food was very good (Fishermans platter was best). It was always full and a short wait for a table can be expected but no problem as can sit at the bar. The pepper steak is recommended not too much sauce on to drown it like in some places.
Paspalis was very good and in a good setting overlooking the beach. Great for those meals watching the sun go down. The chicken kebabs and swordfish were good but the house wine there was the best we had.
We came back from Skala on 12th May. We had an excellent holiday and recommend Skala. It was fairly quiet but there were still a fair few people around, in other words it is not a rowdy place. There were enough restaurants and bars to give some variety. The beach is really big and everything you need is in easy walking distance. If you like a quiet holiday with plenty of Greek character then try Skala. I didn't think it was particularly "British" like some people on the site have been saying.
