Bars in Poros
10/10What a delightful bar this is to sit and relax. They made us very welcome and the bar food was excellent value for money. Amust visit if you are in Poros.
- GB Get up in the morning hungry. Get yourselves to Poros and the Cactus Bar. Sit virtually on the beach listening to the sea and have the best breakfast ever. Nic and Amanda will look after you as friends. Found Poros again this year after nearly 10 years of just passing through. Great place to eat and drink,pity the tour companys dont think the same. See you next year

As for the drinks, well you would be hard pressed to drink your way through the list of cocktails. (He does have draught beers as well). There are other Bars and Tavernas in Poros, and it would be wrong to try and disuade people from trying them all - they all need the tourists' money - but we all have our favorites, and ours happens to be the Cactus bar with Nick and Amanda. Can't speak highly enough of Poros and the people. Have stayed with Maki at the Santa Irina, a great guy doing all he can to put Poros on the map. It is true to say that it isn't cheap any more, but you get what you pay for. We are going again this year for 3 1/2 weeks so I am putting my money where my mouth is. Try Poros - and the Cactus Bar - you will not be disappointed. - UK A fantastic place to spend the evening or should I say early morning,
Mandy and Nick are a verry nice couple and go out of thair way to make you welcome.A verry relaxed atmosphere sitting with local people and a few Brits that have moved to the Island,We must recomend Nick's Breakfast and a coconut orchid, If you go to poros make sure you drop in we cant recomend the place enough

- UK We holidayed in Poros at the beginning of the season 2003 and from the moment we stepped into The Cactus bar we knew it was going to be a regular occurance during our stay...Mandy & nick are by far 2 of the nicest people we have met anywhere abroad.
We would recommend the cocktails early evening (HAPPY HOUR)
The cactus juice is really good ! Alternatively asking Mandy/Nick for a Maxine Special ( with a wink ) I am sure will raise a smile :O)
The food here is excellent also, breakfast is gr8 and Nick whips up a mean lunch also..try the hot platters with some local stuff.
We had made good friends with Mandy & Nick by the time we had left and will be in contact with them from now on...oh by the way we did leave that at 7am one morning and Nick then went on to work all that day til 3am the next morning unaffected ( so it seemed ) now thats what i call a bar owner !
We usually left there between 1/3am but were always reluctant because the welcome is so warm.
They treat all of there customers as friends and I can see why people return year after year :O)
DO NOT MISS THIS BAR...WHILE HOLIDAYING IN KEFALONIA..

- UK A great place,to relax and meet new friends.Set on the sea shore,the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. Nikos and Amanda (Mandy) who own the bar are really friendly, offer a great range of cocktails, drinks, snacks, and breakfast with which you can get english tea with fresh milk!!
- UK Nick and Amanda give this bar a feel good factor that makes you come back time after time. Very friendly couple who are prepared to offer excelent snacks and drinks both day and night. The bar is situated only feet from lapping waves, do not miss this treat
- UK This is run by Amanda(English) and Nick (Greek), They do wonderful cocktails and there is a happy hour between 7.30 & 9.30pm. Try Amanda's cocktail ,After Dinner or a B52. We spent many an evening here and became good friends. It is right on the beach so absolutely perfect sitting drinking your cocktail with sea gently crashing on to the beach! They also do very tasty snacks during the day and their ice creams are scrumptious! All drinks are served with a selection of nuts and crisps. If you're a shopholic then Amanda can tell you the best places on the island!
