Vanessa Restaurant

We were really suprised to hear from people we met in Poros that they rated Vanessa's...we ate at every single restaurant in Poros and thought it one of the worst dining experiences ever!  The food was terrible...bland, overcooked...poor presentation...first time we had been served canned peas with a meal on this island that brims with fresh tasty vegetables! The waitress was grumpy from the word go as well!  Once we found 'the' restaurant Totolino down the other end of town we didnt bother going anywhere else again...we were promised 'fine cuisine' and thats exactly what we got every single meal...brilliant service - devine food - put most other restaurants in Poros to shame!

although we did not stay in the resort of poros our friend and her mum brought us here on our last night, what can i say the food was wonderful and the service excellent well worth the trip from skala to poros.

Excellent food and hospitality,all dishes freshly cooked, house wine very good especially the red.Staff very pleasant and try help in any way they can.I cant pick a favourit meal just look at the days special board which changes everyday.Good selection.

Lots of good nightly specials all freshly cooked by the chef.The staff are very friendly and you can have a good laugh with them.We ate there quite a few nights even joined in a Christening.If you have any meals you want cooked most times they will oblige if you give them warning.Cant complain abpit anything .Handsome waiter with a twinkle in his eye,the sea at your feet good greek music.Perfect.

The food is excellent,especially the pasta with prawns and basil served in a dish with melted cheese.The staff are very friendly and will help in any way they can.Fresh fish is served usually caught by the chef and the waiter.No complaints.

Have just got back from a two week holiday in Poros, the Vanessa restaurant quickly became our favourate and we must have gone about seven or eight times in our two weeks. I really recommend the Lamb Slouvaki - gorgeous and always cooked to perfection!

Not as good as we would have hoped for, it didn't help being asked to move tables in an almost empty restaurant by a 16 year old girl. The food was Ok but we noticed a lot of food on other tables being left uneaten. Only went once in two weeks.

Run by an English girl Jo & her greek partner, they do the cooking too. You get a great variety of traditional Greek and European food. House white is actually Robola so is excellent value for money. It gets very busy so best to get there either early or late. Gill, (English) also works there, she's very friendly. Good atmosphere.

Ourfavourite restaurant in Poros by far. Service and hospitality is excellent and the food is 1st class, we tried many dishes and enjoyed them all.Steak a la creme and Cajun chicken were our fav, and the Walnut Cake for dessert is a must.

Wonderful Greek food, especially the Kleftico! The local red wine by the carafe is really a great taste with excellent value for money - nothing too much trouble - just what you want from a great holiday.

If you are holidaying in Poros, Skala, Katelios or just on the island and have transport DO NOT MISS the Vanessa Restaurant in Poros. This is why you come to Greece: excellent hospitality, food, service, and in a beautiful setting. You will come back often! The food is traditional Greek, excellent specials including numerous English and European favourites, served with a selection of vegetables not just chips! House wine is good value.
