Dolphins Restaurant

We had one first dinner in Cefalonia at Dolphins in Sami. We ordered fish and we were satisfied. The staff was nice but very busy and at the end we had to wait really too much to pay. If you are in Sami you have to try them. Some of them speak italian (so comfortable!).

The food over all is good, however, it is not worth all the hype. The food was over priced and not as good as some of its competitors. The mermaid (next door) is by far the best in Sami. The food there is better and far cheaper! Dolphins was also very greasy and lacked the atmosphere.

We stayed in Sami for eleven nights and ate at the Dolphins every night. Dimitris and Kiki made sure we tried something new every night. All dishes were stunningly good, very traditional. In particular, the Kleftico and Stifado were very memorable. We became very fond of D and K, who were extremely warm and friendly. A lovely restaurant which we will go to again and again.

I read the reviews and headed straight to Dolphins. We were a bit disappointed. We didn't feel very welcomed just a quick, are you ready to order what would you like? There was no other conversation. It wasn't bad but I had calamari to start it was overcooked and quite rubbery as a result. Our mains were better but nice, not outstanding. I don't know if maybe it's lost some of it's atmosphere from when these reviewers went or maybe we went on a bad night but we had far better meals elsewhere in Sami.

I agree , the best restaurant in Sami is "Dolphins" really cool meals, nice staff good sea view and of course Dimitris is a nice person his wife Kiki also is realy nice she is preparing almost all the meals for us and if you will see how she is handling a full restaurant you will remain shocked, and if you want to try the best fresh fish be sure that the Dolphins is the place where you will get it. "DOLPHINS" you are the best keep this way

The best taverna in Sami - don't go anywhere else!  Others may bear the glow of Corelli, but Dolphins is award winner

i fully recomend this restaurant with dimitrios kiki and the waiters paul vince and the others i can not praise them enough for there kindness and how helpfull they are nothing is too much trouble .
