Restaurants in Skala

Helen L  (04 August 2009)        1/10

This was one of the best restaurants in Skala but unfortunately it no longer exists and is now a bar. July 2009

This is alovely place, food and service excellent, defo recommend to those who visit for the first time,as theres a lovely outside bar in the middle run by a great guy called Makis. We are staying in Argostoli this year but we will visit the Garden Bar one evening to eat and meet up with Makis.

They do a wonderful veggie Moussaka!!

We had our first meal here and loved it..... the garden was so relaxing, the staff were very friendly and helpful would recommend this one

Lydia B  (08 July 2006)

This was my favourite! I love the garden, it is in a relaxed setting and very welcoming.

The menu is second to none, a huge variety to choose from. My favourites included fried cheese, sea bass, sea bream, seafood risotto the list goes on! Very reasonable prices and delicious food in generous portions. Excellent house wine too.

I miss it so much now we're home!

This restaurant was brilliant. The waiters were lovely. We ate here twice over the period of a week and went nearly every evening for a drink. I would recommend the fish platter - lots of it and very cheap.

Another restaurant that we went back to several times - good food, good service, and a really nice location just off the main street, but far enough off the side so you feel secluded.  Fast delivery of food, and tasty too - yummy :)

We visited this Restaurant on 3 occasions over our 2 week stay.  Excellent in all 3 categories.  Would reccomend Noufaro to all who visit Skala.

We ate here twice and the food and service was excellent also the staff were very friendly. The restaurant is in a lovely setting

Ate here a couple of times and it was great - a wide range of dishes, and 2 happy hours 6-8pm and 10-12pm where cocktails were 4 euros each, and staff that don't rush you too much. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill when it came both times that we ate there - and the do a great bread selection for the cover at the start of the meal.
The house red was really drinkable and a good price at about 4 euros for a litre.

We went every night! It was fantastic! A great range of food-try the chicken slouvaki, noufaro spagetti, home-made pizzas and savoury crepes. All were delicious! The setting was lovely sitting outside and the waitor/waitresses were lovely and if they had time would always come to speak to us.
Before or after your meal go and have one or more drinks. we tried lots of cocktails, talked to the barmen and had enjoyable, great nights spent there! I hope to go to see them and taste more greek meals again next year!

Tried this restaurant on our first night. Lovely garden setting reminded me of
some of the great restaurants in Kalamaki, Zante. However, the food was
fairly unremarkable and we didn't give it a second chance!

Leana R  (14 July 2003)

didnt like this restaurant. everthing was cremated and tasted the same. it wasnt very friendly and a poor place to have dinner

Roisin F  (02 June 2003)

this restaraunt is the BEST!!!!!! great people, excellent food and the very best service!!!
A MUST GO!!!.........trust me

Ian S  (24 May 2003)

We really liked this restaurant. The staff were friendly particularly at the bar. The food was very good (Fishermans platter was best). It was always full and a short wait for a table can be expected but no problem as can sit at the bar. The pepper steak is recommended not too much sauce on to drown it like in some places.

Lynn C  (10 October 2002)

we had dinner there 2 nights , the food was very excellent ,ceasar salad was great and chicken in mushroom sauce fabulous, it was the only resturant in skala that had cloth napkins (crisp white)we had spanish coffee every night on our way to bed, the waiter was wonderful, great frindly service , beautiful setting. highly recommend it.

Mia L  (05 September 2002)

the resturant & bar is run by a lovely family. The service was excellent considering how busy it was. They bar is a great place to have an pre dinner cocktail, or visit late where you can mix with regulars. We went every night!!!

This is my favourite restaurant in Scala. It has a lovely setting and the food is great. you must have the prawn saganaki - best dish in town.It gets very busy so be a little patient, it's worth a bit of a wait.

Emily S  (27 July 2002)

The service was the worst I have ever experienced and the food didn't make up for it. It was nice but not enough to make us go back.

Colin M  (12 July 2002)

Actually thought this was the worst meal we had in Skala. Perhaps it was because it was our last night! food was poor in comparison with other establishments.

Paula R  (22 May 2002)

The setting of this restaurant is lovely and the prices are really cheap,i have just returned from skala last night,i would recomend this restaurant to anyone. we tryed nearly all of the restaurants during our holiday and this is one of the best.

Arlene B  (19 April 2002)

fantastic little restaurant. This was our usual haunt for an evening meal as we couldnt fault the service or the food. Stew(hubbie) was addicted to their own made pizzas as i tried to try a bit of everything but i did like the chicken souvlaki. absolutly great. Restaurant is set in a garden and its a pleasant surrounding. LOok out fot the cats though! there eas quite a few trying to mooch of us.

Colin S  (04 March 2002)

Try the cocktails during happy hour, they are lovely.
