Gourgouris Grill

 WOW! the food was fantastic, very tasty and lots of it, do try the Gourgouris burger if your super hungry, the food was traditional and staff very friendly. definately give this place a try you will love it.

Great place for traditional greek food. Loved it.

We ate here most nights of our holiday and were never disappointed once.  Having tried many of the other restaurants in the main street previously we found them to be very bland and in the main not very welcoming and hospitable not like Gourgouris at all.

If this is the same place I think it is  called the "Gourgouris Grill" and it is definately a real taste of Greece which is very popular with the locals young and old. We visited this rustic taverna a couple of times last year and we,ll definately going back this year when we return on Sunday, a much more enjoyable evening was had in here rather than the Pines etc where you get the impression  they want you out as soon as you,ve eaten. P .S the Gyros are suberb! 

this really deserved far above 4 / 10 .... great honest local food ... not for those who are after euro food and chips but those who want traditional fare from the grill.  very tastly lamb chops and the veal was delicious.  excellent greek salad with creamy feta ... little tang to it ... and a fabulous house rose wine , very drinkable.  they do a very good and highly garlicky taziki which is actually really good as a side dish to the souvlaki and in fact all of the grilled meats.  family run business with a high level of greek clientele ... we sat next to the local priests which is always a good recommendation !!  value for money !

Probably the nearest thing you will get to a simple taverna in Skala.

It was out second visit to Skala and our 2nd visit to the Grill. This is by far the best greek food we found in the resort. It's a simple place but the food is wonderful. I had the pitcher of meatballs this time and it was the best thing I ate all week. Everything is fresh and you can even see them preparing the food. The greek salad, houmous and cheese pies were also the best we tasted while in Skala. Added to this the fact that it was also one of the cheapest meals we ate I have to rate this my No.1 restaurant of our trip.

No pretence. Just great food at a reasonable price. Go early but dont ever be surprised to find a queue. Then you just join it. WELL WORTH THE WAIT... every time. If you're after quality... you found it!
