The Pines - (Restaurants in Skala)

Doreen H

We ate here twice during our 7 day stay in Skala, the stuffed tomatoes and peppers were absolutely wonderful, in fact everyhing we ordered was good, we had a surprise when we went to the loo, and I am surprised nobody else has commented on it.... it was worth the visit just to see the sink in action.  The staff were very good considering how busy they all were -  nothing was too much trouble.   Would recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed our meal here we would have returned had we had more time, 7 days is not long enough to try out all the restaurants in Skala would definitely return here.   Good value, good food, good service and if you like cats then you will be at home here...

Panorama Bar - (Bars in Skala)

Just perfect for a coffee, cocktail or dessert, the owner is a character and so are his cats, his wife makes the best apple pie in Skala!  A great place to relax after a hard day at the beach, we ended our evenings here on quite a few occasions.

Pikiona - (Restaurants in Skala)

We had lunch here one day it was overpriced... we had a Greek salad with only one olive and no oil..... one of our children had a hot dog which wasn't edible and the other had chicken nuggets we had two soft drinks a beer and a coffee and it cost more than we paid in Kaliva for supper...

We had cocktails here one night, nothing to write home about and  expensive, looks bar  nice from the outside.... but could be anywhere - no atmosphere.... will not return to this bar next year.........

Ocean View Hotel - (Accommodation in Skala)

D H

We booked a last minute holiday with Olympic Holidays.... we  had one room in the basement and one on the ground floor, we had been warned we might not have a balcony or view.... so we were not as disappointed as some people were!! The basement room was bigger so what we lost in balcony and view we gained in space!!!  Maybe the hotel should change it's name, then people would not be so disappointed in the basement to find the only view they have is of ankles and maybe a few knees!!!  The location is brilliant, not too near the tavernas and not too far away  and just a nice walk down to the wonderful Skala beach....  The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were serviced every day... we had breakfast too which consisted of bread,  jam, orange juice and coffee,  the supermarket is only 30 seconds away and it has everything... so we enhanced the breakfasts with cereal for the children and some lovely greek yogurt and honey for ourselves.  According to our rep Olympic Holidays won't have this hotel in their brochure next year they probably get fed up with holidaymakers complaining about the rooms in the basement I would have no hesitation in returning to the Ocean View Hotel..... I just wish we had booked for 14 days and not 7!!!
