The Alkioni Hotel is situated in a beautiful seaside village in Katelios just a quarter of an hours drive from Poros ,one of the main harbours on the island.
Katelios is built in a lush green valley full between mountains and sea. This valley lies one kilometer from the sea beneath the mountain Ainos which is the tallest on the island and is1628 meters in height. Since 1962 it has been declared as national park The waters of the beach are blue, shallow and warm, ideal for young children and for people seeking tranquility and beauty of nature.
Being a sandy beach it gives it a touch of the exotic .... The residents are quiet, considerate, decent and honest, for this reason Katelios is known for its hospitality. It is distinguished by its traditional cuisine as the food products come from mother nature, for example plenty of fresh fish straight from the sea (most of its residents are fisherman). Salads and vegetables are from their gardens, with great care the people maintain their link to times when they were in full harmony with nature ...
