We were also on the glass bottom boat trip on 2 June, the best glass bottom trip we've ever been on. It was a very memorable day. Capt.Makris and his crew certainly know how to look after their passengers, even supplying sun shades for the beach barbecue, which itself was much more than we'd expected, with fun and games as well. We were so pleased the dolphins decided to put in an appearance.
When we visited in May it could have been their first week of the season and they were very busy but after being served our first drinks and starters quite quickly, we were over an hour waiting for our main courses and then had to get the waitress's attention, as she had rushed off to deal with other customers after giving us our meals, to tell her we had no cutlery as it had been taken with the starter plates. Food was good when it came, a good introduction to Kefalonian fare, and the entertainment kept our minds off our rumbling stomachs. One of the waitresses did most of the dancing then went straight back to waiting tables which was impressive. It was also quite entertaining watching the waiters running up and down the steps from the teired level tables to the kitchen - it gave the impression things were being done quickly! Then at the end of the meal there was another long wait to get the bill as the waitress seemed to be very tied up with queries at other tables. My advice is don't go there feeling too hungry on a busy night as you may have a long wait for your food!
Excellent food and service, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. What more could you want.
