La Mer is a lovely restaurant in an idyllic setting on the main Lourdas Beach Road near the top of the hill. Wonderful fresh food is cooked to perfection, try Lamb La Mer, all the fish dishes and wonderful Carbonara, and there is a good vegetarian selection. The desserts are delicious and do try one or two of Natasha's cocktails. The service is friendly and efficient Andreas, Natasha and the staff. Great place to relax. We arrive on Saturday 2nd June 07 and will be in La Mer on Saturday night and also on Sunday morning for breakfast.

We have had take away meals from Cava Dora at the Portside in Agostoli for many many years, chicken and pork roated in the walk-in spit/grill. The food has always been excellent and good value for money. Wrapped in foil with chips and bread it is easy to take back to the apartment for a cheap relaxing supper.
Delicious and highly recommended.

We have eaten at Mythos several times in the last few years. The food is excellent and the restaurant was introduced to us by some Greek friends. It really is rather special and well worth a visit during your holiday. It is situated on Palm Tree Avenue just off the Square in Agostoli.
Simatos Apartments - (Accommodation in Lassi)

Tried to book at Simatos in August 2008 but it was a busy time and there were no rooms available. Lambros was so kind and helpful and for several days tried to find me alternative accomodation in Lassi.. I was amazed at just how helpful he was to me even though I wasn't going to stay at Simatos.
I know from the help I received Simatos will be a wonderful place to stay. I hope to visit in the future.

Aridas Palace - (Restaurants in Lourdas)

10/10Our familiy visited Aridas Palace in July 2008 and September 2008 it is situated in a quiet, idyllic spot at the far end of Lourdas Beach, turn left as you come to the Beach. The food is plentiful, really delicious and cooked to a high standard. We had Sea Bass which was a whole fish each and beautifully presented with delicious side salads. The wine is good too. The Owners are friendly and fun and speak excellent English. They have nice rooms to let which have wonderful views of the sea and mountains. Highly recommended.
Marianna Studios - (Accommodation in Lassi)

1/10Stayed at Marianna Studios in September 2008. Been visiting Kefalonia for 14 years and are well aware of basic Greek accommodation. However, this was very disappointing. We stayed in Room 1 which faced the pool, the bed is situated in front of the door with 10feet between door and pool. Had one window which opened on to the footpath. There was no privacy at all. I do think Room 1 is probably the worst for its position.
We arrived Tuesday evening mid September, went for meal then went to bed. Wednesday morning we saw the bedding which was stained and dirty. The sheets were grey and the mattress protector was filthy. The mattress itself was indescribable. The staff quickly changed the sheets and mattress protector but shrugged shoulders at the state of the mattress. In 14 years visiting Kefalonia we have never experienced this problem.
We didn't let it spoil our holiday as we adore Kefalonia, but we did find, at our own expense, alternative accommodation for 5 nights of the holiday. We will go back to Kefalonia in June 2009 but definitely not to the Marianna (First Choice).
Marianne is in a good position in Lassi, close to beaches, bars and restaurants - a positive.
Greekstones Car Rental - (Car Rental in Kefalonia)

Our family has hired 3 cars from Greekstones this year in August and September. They give an excellent service and Melis and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The vehicles have all been excellent and the full support package including full insurance means safe and sure driving around Kefalonia. They have offices in Svronata but do deliver and pick up your vehicle from wherever you require on the island. They have met us at the Airport and they have also brought a car to us in Lourdas. They are such a helpfull Company and we would highly recommend them.
Venia - (Accommodation in Lassi)

10/10June 2009. We have just returned from a holiday at the Venia Apartments in Lassi. We are regular visitors to Kefalonia and the Venia rates amongst one of the best we have stayed in. We had room7 which had a nice patio surrounded by flowers and with a pleasant sea view. The room was clean with nice bedding, a ceiling fan which did the job, a toaster, coffee maker and kettle. A wall safe is available for a small fee. Air conditioning is also available if required.
The apartments are a hidden gem set on a quiet road near to the Mediterrane Hotel and 2 minutes walk from the beach and a short easy hill climb to the main Lassi Road (5 mins).
The friendly and helpful owners gave us a tour of all the rooms as we were the only guests and all the rooms were clean, pretty bedding and nice sea views. We had a really lovely peaceful holiday and would recommend the Venia as basic good standard clean accommodation set in amongst lovely colouful flowers in an ideal location. The Mediterrane is close by for coffee or late night drink.
The Venia is well worth a visit. It is advertised with Monach Holidays, we booked via flight and accommodation website Monster Travel.

Had a lovely holiday in September 09 in Lassi at the Mouikis Villas/Apartments. Ideal setting on a quiet road near to Mediterrane Hotel. The Villas and Apartments are in a secluded garden all with sea views and wonderful sunsets. The accomodation is excellent very clean, with clean white bedding and towels that are changed regularly. Excellent family holiday, thank you Thanasis for all your help in making the booking.

10/10Ventura Rooms are in Lassi close to St Gerassimos Church. We have visted Kefalonia for the past 18 years and we have now found Ventrura Rooms and the wonderful owners Fotini and Nicos. We have just returned from a most delightful holiday in June 2010. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and the wonderful views from the balcony and terrace are truly breathtaking. Fotini and Nicos are lovely, kind people and both made us feel so welcome. We have at last found the best place to stay in Lassi Kefalonia and we will certainly be booking again.

10/10Just returned from another holiday in Kefalonia in June 2010. We again visited Cava Dora a small traditional restaurant on the waterfront in Agostoli near to the Ferry. This is an excellent place to eat the food is so delicious and cheap. Eat in or take away we have never been disapponited in 18 years. It is very popular with the Greek fishermen and locals. We had pork chop with onions and chicken Cava Dora both were really delicious. Do give it a visit.

10/10Just returned from Kefalonia in June 2010. Again we visited Aridas Palace in Lourdas. The food and service is really good. We had sea bass (a whole large sea bass) and sole stuffed with spinach and cheese, both dishes were truly delicious. We enjoyed our lunch with a glass of wine, looking out at the wonderful views across Lourdas bay and up to the mountains. Aridas Palace is certainly worth a visit. Like us you will become a regular visitor.

10/10We have just returned from another lovely holiday in October 2010 at the Ventura Rooms in Lassi.
The weather was beautiful, Ventura remains excellent value and a very pretty and relaxing place to stay.
Ventura owners Fotini and Nick helped make our stay so pleasant. They made us feel so at ease and so welcome at Ventura.
The rooms are very clean and given daily attention by Fotini and Nick. Spotlessly clean towels and bedding are provided and changed regularly, daily if required. Nothing is too much trouble for Fotini or Nick, they are both so kind and every attention was given to our comfort making our stay at Ventura a real pleasure.

October 2010. Another visit to Kefalonia. Cava Dora is a great little restaurant used by the Greek people. It is on the portside at Agostoli near to the Ferry. It provides great food at reasonable prices and it is good to move away from the Square and try something different. Well worth a visit. We have never been disappointed in the past 10 years..

Lovely clean rooms, clean bedding and towels daily when required. Beautiful views, ideal location up a hillside from the Lassi main road. A wonderful place to relax in the sunshine. We will be visiting again in 2011.

August 2011. Brief visit to Agostoli and again visited one of our favourite restaurants Cava Dora on the portside near to the ferry terminal. This little place is well worth a visit you will not be disappointed the food is really tasty Greek food and so reasonably priced. We have tried so many of the meals over the years, Chicken Cava Dora is good as is Pork and Onions. All starters are really nice. Lots of Greek locals visit this place, nice atmosphere.

10/10We have had two lovely holidays this year 2011 in Kefalonia and stayed at Ventura Rooms with Fotini and Nick the most delightful owners of Ventura. Fotini and Nick are lovely people who will do anything to help make your holiday an enjoyable event.
Ventura is ideally positioned up a hill from the Lassi main Road. The views from the rooms and terrace are incredible whatever season you visit. We really do enjoy our holidays at Ventura and are looking forward to visiting again in June 2012.

We visited Cava Dora several times during our holiday in Kefalonia. The food is delicious and we always enjoy our visit to the small family run Greek place. They also do take away/deliver food around the area.
It is good Greek food. Cava Dora is opposite the Ferry stop on the Portside in Agostoli. Do give it a try - Chicken Cava Dora is our favourite and the shrimps are lovely.
