I just got back from 2 weeks in Lourdas and this is the best restaurant I visited. The location on the beach is fantastic. The menu is varied and not too expensive. The best thing about Klimatis though, was the staff. Yana and Leonides in particular are very helpful. Klimatis also has one of the best bars in Lourdas (the other being Bar 7). Alex, the barman from Czech Republic, and Bella, the local waitress, both made this a memorable holiday. Yannis the owner was also great company and very generous with his drinks. Cheers folks. 10 out of 10. PS (If you drink the local wine, the Tsausi is far superior to the local Robola, and is about 5 euros for a litre).
The best bar, the best location, the most stylish furniture and the coolest music. With great service too, this place has it all.
Great service. I booked a bike in advance and it was ready for me on arrival in Lourdas. Very reasonable rates 200 euros for a fortnight. Tassos speaks very good english and was very helpful. A few bigger bikes would be welcome. Maybe a Honda Transalp or BMW F650 etc.
This was my favourite beach on the whole island. Okay, it is shingle and not sand but personally I prefer that. The setting is stunning and the water a beautiful turquoise, very similar to Myrtos. The only drawback is that sunbeds (6 euros) are very close together and you do feel a bit cramped.
I spent most of my 2 weeks on this beach and it was perfect in every way. The sunbeds are well spaced and 6 euros a day which is about average (except for Myrtos where it is 9 euros!). If you are on your own, go for the striped beds and parasols in front of you and to the right at the bottom of the hill, the owner and his 2 boys will only charge you 4 euros. Bar 7 is a perfect place to go for a drink but for food I would definitely recommend Klimatis.
Its too late for the previous poster but "no" the apartments don't have air con. Don't let this put you off however. All the rooms are facing the sea (despite my booking confirmation stating "inland view"). All, except the ground floor have stunning sea views as they are on the top of the hill with an uniterrupted view of Lourdas bay and Zakynthos. The apartments are small but clean and in a good location in the village of Lourdata. When i was there it was 40c and I hired a fan from Marias supermarket for 19 euros for 2 weeks. It is a long way to the beach but there is a bus service. I hired a motorbike for the fortnight from Sunbird which was worth it just for going to and from the beach never mind travelling the rest of the island. Ilias is a great host and speaks good english.
