The Pines - (Restaurants in Skala)

This is a fantastic restaurant in a lovely location with sea views though the pine trees. Service is excellant and the staff are very frinedly and helpful. There is a large menu with lots of choice, I can recommend the kefalonia meat pie. This is definitely one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Skala. I also think it is reasonably prices for the quality of the food.Tongue

Island Tour by coach - (Kefalonia Excursions)

Louise S

A good trip to go on to see the sights especially if you can't hire a car or are a little nervous to drive on the mountain roads. We went to Fiskardo - which is a beautiful harbour with nice little shops. Melissani lake which is magical and Drogorati caves. Also the Robolo wine factory and Asos, a little village. We booked the tour through Panem in skala for 18 euros each, which was very reasonable, the tour guide was informative and the driver was excellent, he took it slowly round the mountain roads which made me feel relaxed and confident about his driving. However the coach was a bit old but comfortable enough.

Eleana Apartments - (Accommodation in Skala)

Just back from the Eleanna apartments, they are lovely and much larger than any other apartments/studios I have ever stayed in in Greece. There is lots of storage space and the rooms are so spacious with a double bed and a single bed in the room. The bathroom is very modern with a bath! as well as a power shower. Balconies have ample room. Not far away from the town centre with the beach slightly further away. The pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds in nice surroundings. The pool bar is a little pricey but nothing to worry about. I would definitely recommend the Eleanna to everybody.
