Who needs to get in and out of the water? We were lucky and went there on a very calm day, and once we were in the water getting out was the very last thing on our minds!!!!! We don't really like sand anyway (it does get everywhere doesn't it?)
It looks beautiful, the water is clear and the fish are friendly... We went on one of our car hire days so time was pushing on and I'm afraid our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. If you want sandy beaches try Xi near Lixori - the water isn't as clear (beacuse of the sand) but it is also a very cool beach!
I must have been the luckiest person on Kef the week I had the car... No wasps when I went (I admit it was a little cloudy that day) but the fish were fantastic! It wasn't as picturesque as Myrtos and yes, the drive there from Sami was a little hairy but wowey wowey! Green ones, red ones, blue ones, my boyfriend didn't fancy getting in the water but once he heard what was in there I've never seen him move so fast!
I would recommend going but maybe not for the whole day....
What a dreamy place! Before we went we read mixed things about this resort - but it's everything we had hoped it would be.
Quiet and relaxing, friendly locals, nice selection of Tavernas - enough of a mix to have traditional meals most nights with real atmosphere and Full English breakfast when required!
Yes the beach isn't miles of sand, but we were lucky enough to find a really lovely pool and did swim in the sea a few times. If you want sand and don't mind heights then walk over the cliffs to Turtle Beach just around the coast.
They are moving back off the beach to the main road to Katelios this season (nr Nemesis) and we ate there a few times - absolutely fab every time we went, can particularly recommend the Meatballs and Scallopini but they will also do assorted Mezes if you ask very nicely - I ordered far too much but it was delicious (if only I'd been more hungry!!!!!)
Really nice people who run it too, just can't do enough for you.
Could do with some atmospheric music though..... Just a thought!
