Hi All,
Just got back from a week in Lassi with my friends - we loved it.
So Simple is such a good place to go - the best in Lassi for late night dancing. Try the N-R-G cocktails and make friends with Biro - he is a good guy. We got free shooters which is always a bouns....and a very nice key ring too!
Stay away from the gold tequila - no salt and an orange to suck on afterwards....need I say more?!?!
Also - keep an eye out for dodgy blokes plying you with drink and trying to get you to go away with them on their bike. As Nicky said in Corrie last night - "NOT A GOOD MOVE" xxx
Hi again,
We went to Sirtaki twice when in Lassi. We loved it. Food was lovely, service is great and it is reasonably priced. I agree, house wine was the nicest we'd tasted.
I tried the Stifado - yum!
If you speak to Donny - make sure you brush up on your R'n'B knowledge.
Galini suited us just fine.
We arrived at the apartments and they were clean and suited our needs. We didn't even use the kitchen facilites apart from the fridge - who cooks on holiday anyway !?!?
We had a lovely terrace with sea views and the beds were comfy. We didn't get a towel change - but we'd brought extra.
We also had a cute family of kittens and Snoop the dog visiting us which was nice.
If you want cheap, basic and clean accommodation then I'd stay at Galini again.
Lassi was an excellent place to base yourself for a holiday in Kefalonia. I stayed there with 2 of my friends and we were expecting an OAP resort with not much to do but read and get some rays (which was fine by us!) but were pleasantly surprised with the range of bars and restaurants in Lassi and close by in Argostoli.
Our favourite restaurant was Sirtaki - the staff were so lovely. You can also hire a car (I reccommend the Samurai Jeeps!) and explore the island which is easily done from Lassi.
The beaches were lovely - beautiful clear water! Myrtos Beach is stunning.
Go there and enjoy - you'll love it and be very sad when you have to come home. I am going back again!
