We went to White Rocks and stayed in the bungalows in 2002, with a semi-sea view, but right next to the pool! It was my first time in Greece and it was our honeymoon, we couldn't have picked a nicer place. The hotel has a private beach that always has sun beds free. There is a little snack bar near the pool, the food is not that great but its just snacks. We stayed on halfboard and found the food great, our waiter was really nice, the fact that food did sometimes take a while did not bother us cos we were on holiday! On halfboard you can ask to swap dinner for lunch just tell them in the morning and its self service and the dining area has amazing views of the main beach in lassi.
Our room was pretty basic but clean, AC was fine bit old, but we were hardly in the room really, we got a fridge with a mini bar in the room and ended up just getting some drinks from the supermarket and keeping it there. I can imagine that the rooms in the main hotel can get quite noisy as the hotel is huge!!
The resort centre is only about a 10 minute walk away, but a killer walk from about 10am cos its soooo hot! Taxis to Argostoli are easy to find and its about £2.00 and they run all night so its ok to go clubbing! There are plenty of restuarants and pub/clubs in Lassi, but its not a loud resort, we were totally relaxed the whole time.
The hotel is on a cliff face so after a day in the sun it gets tiring walking up the staircase back to the hotel! But anyways we had a great time would recommend it to anyone. I'm so jealous of anyone going there now ;-)
Just come back from 1 week in Kef and stayed at Despina. Was worried by the comments but when we arrived it was great! The views are amazing as its up a slight hill, sunset is just the best, v central to the most lively resort(don't worry its pretty tame area!), yet v quiet and relaxing. Rooms were clean, had to hire a fan though (1 euro a day) big fridge and freezer. Hot water all the time, rooms are cleaned every other day. We used Marianna pool (great 4 greek food by a pool)and Malibu Bar (ace diving board, and the best chips in Lassi!!)
Loved it will def go back again :)
Loved this place! Its kind of got a jungle theme going on so you forget that you are on the main road in Lassi! Drinks are good but pricey, but as its open most nights til 4 am we used it as the last stop! The lounge service is excellent, music great too. Also most of the waiters around the area go there most nights ;)
Zorbas was great. Def go on a greek dancing night though as there is more of an atmosphere and its real fun. The food is really good and reasonably priced, we found the calamari to be the best we've ever had! The waiters were fine we got good service. Cats can be a pain but whos to blame for that? (Don't feed them!!!!) Prefered it to Oskars i'm afraid!
