Just returned from 2weeks at the poseidon, we were pleased with the size of the 2 bed apt aswell as the 2 bedrm, toilet/shower and kitchen there is a hall entrance area great for dumping your beach & swimming kit when you get in! the apt. has 2 balconies which is nice.
But!! our apt was on the ground floor at the front and very close to the road which picked up alot of noise, so we didnt find it very quiet, other rooms at the back were ok. Bill was very nice but Maria told me off! we thought the bathroom could have been cleaner, location was ok near to supermarkets, 2mins from a pool and a nice stroll to the beach.
we usually like fine sandy beaches and this is not one, but we did like it, the sand didnt get flicked into your eyes or sandwiches. The large pebbles & shingle are hard on your feet, thought the kids would miss making sandcastles but they made pebble pictues in the sand and took felt pens on the beach and sat for hours decorating the stones. we found the beach in front of the Tara Beach Hotel (turn left at seafront) best for the children, not quite as steep and stoney. sunbeds are 8 Euros for 2, you can buy a beach brolly at the supermarket for 6 Euros. If its windy watch the kids on the lilo's the sea gets deep very quickly and they'll soon be out of there depth. In all very beautiful.
We had no problems with Aspro, didnt need to see a rep, flights and transfers all ok, accommodation was basic but then we only paid for basic.
we ate here 4 times and thought the food was good, well presented, good prices, and friendly staff.
Hi Leon, yes that was us below, with the quiet kids the noisey ones were next door. thought you had hung your washing out, it dripped on my head!! Yes we did enjoy it and the longer we have been back and looked at the photos and watched the video the more beautiful Skala seems.
