When the coach driver dropped us off at the BOTTOM of the hill, in the midday heat, loaded down with suitcases, saying he couldn’t drive us up the hill, my heart sank. However, the rep organised a taxi to get us to our apartments and our holiday began. My husband and I, mother and 17 yr old niece stayed in Apartment No 1, and what an apartment it was. It was fabulous. We have been to several Greek islands in the past and the accommodation has varied greatly, but this was definitely the best. We had a very large balcony, which looked out onto tremendous views across the bay and out to sea. On entering the apartment, we found a spacious living area and kitchen, which were separated by a good sized breakfast bar. The kitchen was very well equipment, plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery and a huge fridge. Everything was spotless. There was a lovely bathroom and the bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and soooooo much wardrobe space. As well as the main balcony, the living room and both bedrooms had there own balconies too. As for the walk into Lassi, we found a short cut footpath, so it was only a 5min walk. The pool was lovely, clean and peaceful. Bravo Polymnia Apartments, can’t wait to come back.
We went to Nefeli twice for a meal during our week in Lassi, but we popped in nearly every evening for a night cap and also to say goodnight to my niece who worked there. Katy is a lovely lady, she made us very welcome and looked after us very well. The food is excellent, especially the Stifado and Kleftiko, washed down with a chilled bottle of Robola. Luli and Amelios, the waiters, were absolutely charming.
The food was a big let down. I thought I would treat myself to fillet steak in a cream/mushroom sauce. Bearing in mind this was twice the price of the greek dishes, I was very disappointed.
Excellent meal, excellent staff, excellent atmosphere.
