Akropolis Taverna

We met Dennis a good few years ago in Lourdas, his restaurant was fantastic and the food so tasty, Dennis hasn't changed and neither has the fantastic food! Such a friendly place with excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed plenty of meals and a Greek night where truly wonderful memories were made. It was my parents' first trip to Kefalonia and they were genuinely overwhelmed by the friendliness of all of the staff, we cannot recommend this taverna highly enough!! Thank you Dennis and all staff, we have some fantastic memories and hope to see you again soon!!

If you want a reliably delicious meal, and a friendly service(plus entertainment) this is the place to eat. The Greek nights on each Friday are a delight and the music always beautiful. Dennis the owner is such a lovely character and will give all returning customers a special welcome. We'd never miss out on this lovely taverna, and always come back year after year (for the past 12 years!) Don't miss out!

We have known Dennis for over 20 years since we first holidayed in Kefalonia. At that time Dennis had a fabulous restaurant in Lassi  'Ambassador' excellent food, service and a fantasic atmosphere, and it really was the place to go.

This is our third year visiting the Acropolis and can't recommend it enough. "Dennis" our host is wonderful, so full of surplus energy, we could watch him flitting from table to table all night long!! The food is brilliant and easily surpasses any London West End restaurant. The Greek music/dancing night was entrancing. We look forward to our next visit.
