Marabou

if you ever go to scala go to the marabou cafe,lovely meals lovely people they are fantastic and make you seem so welcome

Only had drinks here but it was very nice overlooking the square felt more Greek than anywhere else

I love the cafe Marabou, it's amazing; just like all the other's have said, great food, great people, so friendly I want to eat more of their waffles!!!! Definately take a visit. 

what a fantastic place! went there for the first time last week.....................fantastic food try their english breakfast  included is tea or coffee juice and ice cold water for just 7.50 euros

THE VERY VERY BEST place in Scala to relax and chill out.  Went to Scala in January and it was still so relaxing. Cant wait untill July when we shall return to our favourite place to see some very special people. Take care all of you Chris and Susan x

Lovely place run by lovely people - some of the few animal loveing people we met.

We arrived in Skala at 12.30 pm one Sunday night in July.  The supermarkets were closed but we knew we could get something to eat at the Marabou.  They did us proud with omelettes all round wine and beer, when we left the waitress gave us a big bottle of water to take back with us.

As a family we have been to Scala 6 times in 2 years and over this time have made many friends. Our favourtite place is the "MARABOU" cafe which is run by the best family in Scala.They are so so friendly and helpful, nothing appears to be any trouble to them. We keep in touch when we are back home and it is always great to see them again (and one reason we keep coming back) and to catch up on the "gossip". We sit and talk for what must seem hours and sometimes long into the night. Anthea is by far the best waitress in Scala (told to say that by Anthea) and along with her brothers,Thannos and Leftaris they work very hard together. We spend many happy hours here and thankfully it never changes and we hope that it never will.

marabou is a fantastic place to stay. after visiting skala 6 times before and staying in other places this is the best.the family have all made our holiday the best.nothing is to much trouble.the food is great the red wine is excellant and not forgetting the beer.

the place to be!!!by far the best cafe in skala.they serve beer in big,cold glasses.leuteris behind the bar(try his coctails-u won't regret it)and anthea and thanasis serving the drinks!they also have internet access.we are definately coming back again!

This is the place to relax and shoot the breeze in Skala. The staff are fabulous and right next door is the best gift shop in town. The lady who runs it is named Maya and funnily enough so is her shop. It has everything you could imagine, just go in and have a chat, and give fleury her little dog a tickle on his tummy!!!! Marabou is family run and they attend to your every need, for those with a sweet tooth, you won't be dissappointed. Will certainly comer back and say hello the next time were in Kefalonia, and we will be returning soon.
They also have internet access!!!!!

From 8,30 in morning til when last customer leaves to see Scala High life you can do no wrong then to sit outside this cafe and if you want to keep in touch with back home then the internet at 3 euro is the fast and cheap

THE BEST CAFE IN SKALA!!!DELICIOUS CAKES,REFRESHING FRESH JUICES!DON'T MISS 'LOUKOUMADES',THE MOST POPULAR DESSERT IN GREECE.WE TRIED IT ONCE AND WE LOVED IT.STAFF IS EXCELLENT.VERY HELPFUL,U CAN ASK THEM FOR ANY INFORMATION ABOUT CEPHALONIA!

we came here on the first night and had a good time. prices are average. but on the second night the waiters had a attitude problem and were very un grateful. we didnt return here and wouldnt go again

Finally this great Internet cafe in Skala has been added to this list of places to go. The only (working) Internet bar there, they have 3 computers available for use from early morning to after midnight. Their famous dessert special (Loukoumades) are never forgotten once tried. A friendly family run business, you eat, you laugh and you feel at home.
