We stayed in Lassi from the 22 May to the 5 June 2011. Unfortunately the Trata did not open until the 1st June but we did eat there for the remaining 4 nights of our holiday as the food was so good and was far better than all the other restaurants we tried in Lassi.  The Red Snapper fillet and Swordfish fillet were really good and were served with jacket potato, rice and 3 different fresh vegetables (no other restaurant ever seemed to serve vegetables other than a slice of cucumber and a slice of tomato!)  Other dishes tried were the Lamb Trata (lovely roast lamb),  Chicken with a cream mushroom sauce and grated with cheese, Pork Steak (massive!) all served with Vegetables, jacket  or chips if preferred and rice. Average prices for the main meals were about 9 euros.  As the main meals were quite large we did not have starters but ones we saw, especially the salads looked lovely.  A complementary drink was usually given at the end of the meal.

 

The staff were very helpful, service was good and the restaurant very clean and airy.

We ate here twice giving it the benefit of our doubt from the first time.  Meals were a bit hit and miss and quite expensive for what they were.  My chicken dish seemed to have had a tin of tomatos thrown on it last minute and was not really very nice.  We also ate a pizza and salad here which faired slightly better but was only average.  I think this restaurant is popular more due to the central location and nice surroundings and furnishings than it is for the food served there. 

We chose the Travel Agent Kokolis (at the top end of Lassi main road towards Argostoli) to do the Island Tour and have to say they were fantastic.  At only 15 euros per person (other prices ranged from 24 to 40 euros per person) this was the best and most informative tour we have been on.  The guide was so knowledgeable and the tour included more than some of the more expensive ones.  Included was Myrtos bay, Assos, Fiscardo, stop for lunch at Agia Efimia, Melisani Lake, Drogarati Caves, the monastery of St Gerasimos and wine tasting at the Robola Winery.  Definitely worth the money.  Well done Kokolis.

 

Kokolis also arrange car hire and the 3 island cruise at competitive prices if required.

We ate twice at this restaurant-first time reasonable but the second was terrible.  Waiters are rushing around all the time which does not make for a relaxing atmosphere.

Friendly staff but the food portions were tiny - ok if you don't have much of an appetite!  I had the veal stamnas which was tasty but more on the size of a starter than a main meal.  Hardly any diners in whenever we walked by which is not a good sign.

These studios are in a good position and are well looked after.  The pool area is spotlessly clean and tidy with lots of sun beds and umbrellas both around the pool and in the garden.  Our room was cleaned every other day and towels and linen changed twice a week.  We did actually stay in room number 1 and must say we did not find it a problem at all.  If we were sat outside the apartment we found other guests to be extremely friendly and usually spoke to us when they passed by.   Marianna does a great job of looking after the pool bar every day from 9 in the morning until 7 in the evening.   We met lots of people who stayed at these studios every year and if we do return to Lassi we would certainly stay here again.

 

This is a small family run complex and we could not fault anything in the 2 weeks we stayed there.  Well done.
