Hi my wife and I have been visiting Kefalonia for about ten years now we always stay at the same apartments and for nine of the ten years we have done the beach BBQ with captain Makis they are like family now. Each year for the past five we have said that the next year we would not do the glass bottom boat trip, but when push comes to shove we book up again. This is because it is without doubt a hell of a good day out, just go you'll be glad you did. If you are going in June we will see you there. We are staying with Katerina & Nikos at Lovidis apartments in Lourdas.

  My wife and i have been going to Kefalonia for the past ten years and we always stay at Lovidis apartments with Katarina & Nikos they are like family to us now. They have a pool and are close to the shops and Tavernas without being right on top of them. It is peaceful with wonderful views, we always use Spiros Estiatorio (Taverna) he is a diamond. But it does not suit everyone, but dont worry there are plenty to choose from in easy walking distance.
 If you are going in June around the 15th we may see you there, go on give Lourdas a try you will be smitten for sure.

  My wife and i have been going to Lovidis studios for more than ten years trust me they are are fantastic people nothing is too much trouble, but you do have to ask as they have not mastered mind reading. And please take the comments you may read about Katarina being scary with a pinch of salt it is standing joke, she is a darling we attended the daughters wedding in November 2008 and spent an emotional week with them and their extended family from different parts of Greece. It was an experience we will treasure for the rest of our lives, i am getting emotional just recounting it.
 Back to the apartments they are basic but adequate clean and the views are spectacular, the pool bar is lively given the right crowd but not raucous. They are not air conditioned but fans are available from Maria's mini market at a reasonable price, she is also a diamond as are her family. Look i could keep writing for hours about it, go give it a go it is very reasonably priced and this year they are not run by a tour operator so need business. You will not regret it.
