I have just returned from a week at the Renieri apartments. I read all the other comments before I went and tried to change the booking. However, myself and my boyfriend only paid £150 each, and thought that if they were really that bad, then we could always move. I was terrified having read all the comments on this website.
However, they were 100% fine. Yes, it was all a bit basic, but it was clean enough and the location was excellent, and I find what has been said before grossly over-exaggerated. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away. Our towels and sheets were changed every two days, and there was a dryer outside for beach towels. We were in app. 20, so didn't have our own balcony, but there was a chair/table and we were quite happy there. There were plates and knives etc (perfect for the odd sandwich), and a very large fridge. I'm not sure I would stay there again, but for a budget holiday they're absolutely fine. Skala is gorgeous, and if you'd rather save on the accommodation and spend more money in resort, then I would stay there. The only disappointment was the Rep – bit useless but nice enough!
NB. The restaurants are all superb. Our favourite was Nufaro. Absolutely brilliant food and the waiters were uber-firendly. The Pines and Mi-Abeli were also really good.
This restaurant was brilliant. The waiters were lovely. We ate here twice over the period of a week and went nearly every evening for a drink. I would recommend the fish platter - lots of it and very cheap.
Food very average. Staff spoke no English and the food was below par. Our worst evening meal out by far.
We drank here a couple of times in the evenings and it was great. Food looked very average though.
We ate here on one evening and really liked it. Slightly different from the normal Greek taverna, and the food was delicious. Nice setting and lovely wine list. Our most expensive meal when we were there, but it was well worth it. The service was very good as well.
