Just got back from a week in Katelios staying at the Filoxenia and I definitely recommend these apartments. They were lovely. The rooms are really modern with great views over the pool and down to the sea. Also had a double bed instead of the normal twins. Laundry was changed 3 times during the week, which for Greece is pretty good! The only thing lacking was aircon but for €1 a day you can hire a fan. The pool is great too and there are plenty of sunbeds and brollies. A torch isn't really needed for night-time as the road has street lights. The walk down the hill to the resort centre is quite pleasant really, just take it steady in the sun! The owner also has a restaurant on the seafront called Medusa, so don't expect to see him before about 10.30 in the morning - he always looks so tired bless him! If you are looking for a really good, relaxing holiday, you have found it here...........
Not an amazing beach, but if you walk over the cliffs at the end of the beach (following the blue tags tied to the bushes, so not to get lost), Turtle beach is quite nice. The water is also so clear and shallow, can walk for ages and it not get past your knees! We spent 2 days at the beach in Scala, which to get to costs €1 on the bus that sets off at 11.00 from the cigarette kiosk and returns at 5.00. That is a lovely beach, very shingly and in comparison, walk a metre into the water and it is up to your neck! There are more watersports etc in Scala.
Would definitely book with Olympic again. I accidentally booked the wrong apartments on the internet (my own fault, not a website design flaw), panic struck I rang the customer service team, expecting no joy and the lady I spoke to changed our holiday details with no problems and no extra costs etc. We flew from Manchester and the flight there left early and was right on time on the way back. The rep we had didn't try to "shove" excursions on us, let us choose ourselves and answered any of our questions.
