Just come back from Skala, ate at Siroco almost every night. Brilliant food, excellent service very friendly, prices good. 2 adults 2 children (13 & 8) main meal, dessert and drinks 50 euros. Cant believe the rating of 2/10!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going back in October and will be going to Siroco as soon as we get there.
Fab place to eat, ex food, ex staff and great value for money. Must try the Siroco special spaghetti, dont know how i managed to eat it all. A meal for 2 adults and a 13 year old (who had an adult meal) and a 8 yr old including drinks and desserts for all was 50 euros. The 2* rating on this site is absolutely undeserved. Hope to be going back again Sept and will eat there most nights as we did this time
We loved it here. You get used to the hill after a couple of days. I woulnt rec to anyone with mobility problems as the hill is very steep, also people with children in buggys, would and did find it a very tough trek. People very friendly, nothing too much trouble. Napoleon was a real nice guy and his car hire was so much cheaper than others.(125euros for a punto for 7 days). Plenty of places to sit about, always had a lounger by the pool. Other guests very friendly.
Stephen..... if you just write to Napoleon at Nirithes, Skala, Kef...i am sure it will get there as everyone seems to know each other there. We asked about booking direct but he is tied to First Choice for another 2 years.
The only drawback to Skala in general is the amount of time from the airport, but if staying at Nirithes you can write to Napoleon and he will collect you, that way it is only about 40 minutes. Will deffinately do this next time.
Forgot to mention the room, lovely and spacious and clean. Very basic in supplies in the kitchen but we ate out all the time so no bother
8 of us ate here, the majority of us didnt like it. The half roast chicken and chips was excellent value though, my 8 year old had real trouble eating it (dont do a child menu). Service very slow and not the best value in town. The season hadnt even started so wait may be quite long.
Having read other peoples comments i am glad i didnt see them b4 i went. No real problems at all as far as our week went. Very helpful staff at the Wickford, Essex shop. Flight OK if a bit bumpy but i think that was the mountainous area and there never is enough room on the plane for short legs let alone long ones. Transfer coaches very comfortable. No need to see the rep as we didnt want to do tours. Wish we had been told that we could have reserved a seat downstairs on transfer back to airport, had an 8 yr old who is not a good traveller despite travel pills. Sick bags would be a nice thing to supply considering the terrain. Overall had a great time and would use First Choice again, but have a good look at the options as prices seemed to vary a lot when speaking to other people. We stayed at the Nirithes in Skala. Brochure says TV in room, but not working. We went 9 to 16 May and had temps in the high 70 low 80 every day. Would deffinately go that time again.
